It seems that if you have given the application a set # on synths to perform, and then moved it to the center of the screen, when completed, the pop up box will pop up behind the application box due to its always on top status. You cannot alt-tab to get back to this box, however, you can alt-f4 to close the OK button pop up box.

It sounds like you are adding a toggle for always on top which would make this go away in the case that someone didn't have always on top checked.

Yeah, but this will be a non-issue since the success/failure statistics are moved to the UI in 1.3.2.5

I'm loving this bot, thank you so much lucid!

The only thing missing for me is leve-crafting. Personally I don't need for a bot to cycle through all leves, but when I start a leve and have either Main hand or Off hand highlighted, it'd be nice if the bot did its normal thing to finish up. The only difference would be that it only needs to click yes in between crafts, rather than selecting a recipe. I don't know, but a seperate leve-synth button (next to the synthesize button) would perhaps be the easier choice?

Anyway, thanks again and keep up the good work!

Just downloaded it, gonna try it out. Can anyone confirm is it safe? I mean, it's safe on virus scan, like in game?

Ok I repeated the error again, this time I didn't need to shut down my computer. Closing and starting FFXIV resolved the issue. So there is indeed a conflict between the macro bar and mastrkraftr.

It isn't quite clear what your concern is "safe on virus scan, like in game"? In any case... I know it means very little coming from the author, but take it for what it is worth:
  • This program was written entirely by me
  • More than just a few people are using it (including me, my girlfriend, LS mates, and RL friends)
  • No one has reported any viruses (hope this doesn't start a string of false positives)

Some people don't like the idea of the required login, since the program is free. On that point, I'd like to say that the login should serve as more of a comfort than anything. The reason it is there is to protect my ability to sell the program in the future. Certainly, any kind of virus/malware/etc would not be beneficial to future sales. While I'm not selling it now, and don't have immediate plans to, I just want to have that OPTION down the road. I suppose it also might be worth pointing out that my thanks-to-posts ratio (look to the left of my post) is more than 1:5, which is pretty high. All but maybe one of those thanks was a result of this thread.

About the "like in game" part of your question - since I'm not sure what you meant, I will address in-game concerns. This bot sends the same messages to the game which you send when you press a button, there is no difference. Some game controllers can send input to the game with the window backgrounded (though perhaps not minimized), so I would regard the bot itself as very safe.

It would not be safe to bot unattended, or to bot for an extraordinary amount of time (longer than a human would). If you avoid the very obvious dangers of botting, you shouldn't have any problems. There is more information on these topics at

I'll try looking into this, but MastrKraftr only requests VM_READ access as of a recent version, so it could likely be something in macro bar which needs to be changed; that program is already compiled so I can't suggest a fix to the author or review their code though.

I've been using this bot a bit and it hasn't done anything crazy like send shouts or something. Seems like a lot of ppl using it now with the amount of posts on the thread and I didn't read anyone with a problem yet.

As far as I can tell it's safe in game but I didn't reverse the binary to really rip it apart & see what is going on. I've been running it along with xiv in sandboxie tho and haven't seen anything weird try to happen.

My deepest apologies. I didn't mean it like that. Yes, your program is safe and I just tried it out and probably the most simplified form of program I've seen in my eyes. No, I wouldn't want to leave it unattended but my concern of the question I asked was aimed at something else.

Has anyone been suspected using this bot program, like a GM?

I've not heard a single thing, no bans, no warnings, nothing. Especially when you're using abilities, wait, etc... makes you look much more natural because many bots only use standard.

Consider that some bans might be done retroactively though, even though some people use this bot to craft for extremely long periods of time - most people have a separate account so they can bot their pants off - but SE might look backwards in a few years and see someone who did 7000 synths over a couple days and ban them because it is obvious. You might remember this kind of retro ban from FFXI with position jumping; SE let people get away with it for a long time and then did a sweep. I use this bot on my MAIN account, conservatively of course, and don't have any qualms about doing so. You could probably even go on lodestone and pick out a couple botters based upon the account history.

A little bit of common sense will take you a long way, just use it responsibly and you should be fine.

Yeah, I'm wathcing the chat box to avoid suspicion, that's one. Also, the best way to go would be getting a few levels and then taking a break? Sounds reasonable righT?

I'm using one on main and one on my spare account. I just want to be safe as possible. I'm doing nqs.

Or some random interval, I often pause mine for while if I need to do something around the house or run out for a bit. As long as there are a few breaks in there similar to what you would expect from a manual user, and people aren't sending you lots of "hey, you there?" tells, I wouldn't worry.

Noticed today that I had a proc of Preserve that came up and the bot chose not to use it. I was 98% complete with 18 Dur. Not sure why it would skip it or if it was just a fluke.

Had it used something else 3 turns prior?

Nah, I only have Preserve in my ability bar. I'm leveling up off these synths so I don't use Hasty Hands. /shrug

EDIT: Well I suppose, Preserve may have proc'd and been used 3 turns earlier... But does preserve do that if it's just been in effect?
