Would it be possible to maybe just leave the bot free but then do something like sell $5 merchandise (tshirts etc..) for $30 legally on your website, aka "donate" $25 legally?

What if he made a link to a site that had a donate and the donation was for his daily food needs?

not exactly,
a person who offers a bot,does something against eula(licenses)/ToS of the game
if the same person sells something else, it makes himself vulnerable, with showing real data (and or a paypal acc,what will be frozen a couple hours later,after someone manages to get the two matters linked)

how high are the changes that SE finds EPVP postings?
quite high,to be exactly,extreme high. atm EPVP is very big in the media (or was) all about a Lawsuit, they earned from another company,and yes,it looks like that game company won/is winning (didnt follow the whole process),but that means, epvp isn't exactly a underground place,where no one talks about,and all stealthy n hidden.
its known,and easy to Google (i guess,didn't try,know the board for years)

but don't get me wrong, the chances that SE sues for a bot,are slim, the chances, that they drop the case,are high, but atm some companys try to show how mighty they are,and work such lawsuits like candy, i wouldn't risk too much, seen quite a couple movement in the online sector

still just "imo",do as you pleased todo, but always count with an evil Mail,incase cash gets involved.

but of course,if a new person would randomly selling a background ,or screensaver, saying "i love privacy,that's why i use VPN's and avoid FB" gosh,such a person can make some bucks, and if you send another random person a PM,and telling him "guy,i boughd a screensaver, and my payment procedure number was ###" who would say,its linked, if its a totally other person,and a PM,falls still under the personal privacy,getting into this matter,from two totally different persons,hard to come by,on any court. (just a hint) ,as long as its not linked,to the same person,even board account wise.. i dont see any chance for problems.

My guess is this is all heading to an end since legal fees are always high and the return on investment, e.g., money to be made versus legal fees paid, is probably hard to justify continuing.

Now if someone would post some tips on how to find orb status and abilities that proc'd, that would be a start. Note: only saying 'tips' and not asking for anyone to reverse engineer someone elses proprietary information

Yeah, it would be extremely nice to know how to detect orb color and elemental stability/element.

I'm hopeful things get sorted out, it seems every time someone comes out with an incredible bot it gets canned, really sad. Especially to the creator, all that hard work..

Unfortunately doubtful since it would require significant legal research due to lack of precedent. My best guess is that it would be in the tens of thousands of dollars to get things properly sorted.

There isn't a new version. The bot is on hold for now until legal things are sorted out. Though as days progress it seems less and less likely it will make a comeback at all. Thanks for all the hard work you've put in for us thus far Lucid, I hope you find a way to progress and don't have to cancel the entire thing.
