I am new to these forums so pardon my intrusion;
First and foremost Thank you Muddy and to all of the developers on the muddy D2Nt project for making a great program that makes my life a lot easier and my wife happier that I now come to bed

A few questions (I would like to pick your brains a bit) Answers to my questions are simply point me in the right direction to figure out on my own I am not one who leeches code or "cut and paste" others work.
1: Is it possible to have bot announce the area it is entering based on the script? example: if bot is doing tristram it will announce "tristram" then upon WP opens a portal for followers/leechers

2: is there any way to switch between norm/nm/hell without shutting down the manager? I run a lot and there are times I need to go to normal just to find chipped gems for cubing upper runes.

3: Where are all of the "Config Announcments" so I may edit them for a more personal appeal.

Thank you for your support.
Muddy; I do not have forum gold as you can see because I am new here however I do have cash if you would like a donation of some sort PM me your pay pal account info and I will see that it gets done promptly.
Again thank you for a great product.
One last note, since you are more involved with D2BS bot would you recommend a switch or since D2NT is working flawlessly for me leave perfection alone?
Thank you
Casper

Bin zwar etwas eingerostet, aber an sich sollte das mit D2NT nicht möglich sein.

1. Only way would be editing the respective bot scripts, there is no setting for that which you could just toggle on and off.

2. Not really. You could edit your NIP files though and have your bot search for chipped gems temporarily as you should also be able to find these in a game on hell difficulty.

3. I assume you are referring to the announcements ingame during baal and/or diablo runs. These can be changed in the global config, i.e. MWConfig_GlobalSettings.ntl. You should find the following section in there:
Code:
//------------------------------------------------------------------------------
// Chat Announcements
//------------------------------------------------------------------------------

// These announcements will not be made unless NTConfig_PublicMode is set to true. Set to "" not to post a message.
// NOTE: You have to set a TPSafe message when using leechers and not entering unsafe TPs.

MWConfig_Announcements.BaalThrone = "There are %d monster(s) in Throne!";
MWConfig_Announcements.BaalTpNone = "TP up, no monsters close!";
MWConfig_Announcements.BaalTpCold = "TP cold, %d monsters close!";
MWConfig_Announcements.BaalTpWarm = "TP warm, %d monsters close!";
MWConfig_Announcements.BaalTpHot = "TP hot, %d monsters close!";
MWConfig_Announcements.BaalTpSafe = "TP is safe!";
MWConfig_Announcements.BaalPreChamber = "Killing Baal!";

MWConfig_Announcements.DiabloTpNone = "TP up, no monsters close!";
MWConfig_Announcements.DiabloTpCold = "TP cold, %d monsters close!";
MWConfig_Announcements.DiabloTpWarm = "TP warm, %d monsters close!";
MWConfig_Announcements.DiabloTpHot = "TP hot, %d monsters close!";
MWConfig_Announcements.DiabloTpSafe = "TP is safe!";
MWConfig_Announcements.DiabloPre = "Killing Diablo!";

// Message to announce right before leaving a game.
MWConfig_Announcements.NextGame = "Next game!";

// Minimum char level to show level up message. Set to 99 to deactivate level up messages.
MWConfig_Announcements.ShowLevelUpMessagMinLevel = 1;

// These level up messages will be posted in chat whenever another player in game has a level up. (chosen randomly)
MWConfig_Announcements.LevelUpMessages.push("Congratulations on level %level, %name!");
MWConfig_Announcements.LevelUpMessages.push("Nice level up, %name!");
MWConfig_Announcements.LevelUpMessages.push("Good job reaching level %level, %name!");
MWConfig_Announcements.LevelUpMessages.push("Congratulations are in order, for %name just reached level %level!");
As for D2BS, I've have stopped working on my D2BS version quite a while ago and passed on my progress to kolton, so he could use it for his D2BS version called Kolbot. A thread regarding said version can be found (unfortunately it's in German). Considering D2BS is the superior framework, I'd definitely give it a try.

Thank you Muddy for a prompt response. I found the announcements (was right under my nose)
Is there any special characters I need to add in order for it to do its "announce" post then make another post such as "Thank you for joining my game" rather than having it all on one line. (live person; enter "type text" enter - message appears for everyone in game: enter "type text" enter - a new line with next message appears.

// Message to announce right before leaving a game.
MWConfig_Announcements.NextGame = "Next game!";

Mine is exiting the game before this goes off, is there a timer I can not find?

I understand editing the nip and such, it is just much easier to find chips in normal, and currently i have to stop, edit to change to norm, then re-run. not a big deal.

I was reading about leech, leader, follower, etc here and was wondering if these are all run at the same time on the same machine using different keys, I mean they would not be on virtual machines as the code reading is on one machine.
I guess my question is do I install 2 copies of Diablo 2 LOD on my computer or just add the keys for each diablo I own and the bot will do everything for me.

One last thing. Is there a way for the bot to stop when stash and pack are full of pickit items?

Thank you for your assistance.

Nah, there is no meta character that would allow that. You can of course always edit the respective bot scripts and add more chat announcements.

And the fact that this message is not posted in chat could also be a bug, don't really know, as I never did public games back when I was using this.

Regarding the leech thingy, it should work fine on one computer. I used to run 7-8 bots on my computer and it worked just fine. For configuration, see the .

And no, there is no way to make the bot stop once it is full; there is, however, an auto-mule function. Though it was one of the last and most complex features I've added, so it is likely that there might still be bugs in certain configurations even though it was working perfectly fine back when I was using it.

Great, so far so good.
One thing that the faq is not covering is how to set up D2.
Do I set up 2 D2 folders (dif names) and run them both with one rush and the other as follow
Do I set up on 2 dif computers? (vm, vbox, or whatever)
or what?
The faq only explains how to set up the scripts. however when I run 2 instances of D2NT manager I get the error "only 1 copy of Diablo may run at one time"

In theory, you can use a single instance of D2NT Manager and one D2 folder on one computer. However, that never really worked out for me that well which is why I always used one instance of D2NT Manager and one D2 folder for every D2 instance I would run. Each D2 folder of course also had its own set of CD keys.

Ahh so renaming each D2 folder with corresponding keys.
Makes more sense now. I was running VMware but my gosh that slowed everything down I can not imagine what running 4 or 5 VM's would do.
I will give that a try.
In the profile settings of D2Nt mgr. there is a place for the CD Keys. (2 input boxes)
1st box is for CD key and second box is to give the key a corresponding number.
Are these keys in a file in each folder? or do I just input a cd key for each profile, or do I not need this ( I currently run with these boxes blank and it runs fine)

EDIT***
Installed another copy of D2 today, at first it would only give choice of play or uninstall until I renamed the folder. Installed it updated it ran it and when I started first D2 it gave me the error:
"Only one instance of Diablo may be open at a time"

Edit2**
Disreguard the above, Im so noob sometimes.
The D2NT runs them not me LOL.
both are running fine, only need to tweak them to to self rush (specifically for Larzak)
Thank you a great deal for your assistance.

Code:
// Set to true to always check the selected Nips for errors after including them. Check "..\scripts\Logs\NipErrors.txt" for a precise error description!
	MWConfig_RunNipCheck = false;
Should always be set to true (this checks for errors in your nip file

For potions that is in the char file:
Code:
 //------------------------------------------------------------------------------
	// Potion Configuration
	//------------------------------------------------------------------------------

	NTConfig_LifeThresh = 70; // Drink a normal potion if under this percent of life.
	NTConfig_LifeRejuvThresh = 60;	// Drink a rejuvenation potion if under this percent of life.
	NTConfig_ManaThresh = 30; // Drink a normal potion if under this percent of mana.
	NTConfig_ManaRejuvThresh = 1;	// Drink a rejuvenation potion if under this percent of mana.

	NTConfig_MercLifeThresh = 50;	// This is the threshold to use a life potion on your merc in percent.
	NTConfig_MercRejuvThresh = 30;	// This is the threshold to use a rejuv potion on your merc in percent.
these are set too high.. I have mine at
Code:
//------------------------------------------------------------------------------
	// Potion Configuration
	//------------------------------------------------------------------------------

	NTConfig_LifeThresh = 60; // Drink a normal potion if under this percent of life.
	NTConfig_LifeRejuvThresh = 30; // Drink a rejuvenation potion if under this percent of life.
	NTConfig_ManaThresh = 30; // Drink a normal potion if under this percent of mana.
	NTConfig_ManaRejuvThresh = 10; // Drink a rejuvenation potion if under this percent of mana.

	NTConfig_MercLifeThresh = 60; // This is the threshold to use a life potion on your merc in percent.
	NTConfig_MercRejuvThresh = 30; // This is the threshold to use a rejuv potion on your merc in percent.
works fine, not too often and not too little
as for picking up potions that is in the pickit file :\Muddy's D2NT\scripts\NTBot\item_configs\private\normal.nip
remove the double slashes in front of potions.
Code:
// ##### Potions #######################
[Name] == LightHealingPotion
[Name] == HealingPotion
[Name] == GreaterHealingPotion
[Name] == SuperHealingPotion

[Name] == MinorManaPotion
[Name] == LightManaPotion
[Name] == ManaPotion
[Name] == GreaterManaPotion
[Name] == SuperManaPotion

[Name] == RejuvenationPotion
[Name] == FullRejuvenationPotion
