Bewerbung [Coders Den]

Hi epvp Team, hi community,

Today I want to apply myself as a moderator for the coders den section. I assume some of you may know me already from the coders den discord or my old advertising service I shortly want to introduce myself. My name is Daniel and I am 22 years old. I live in Aachen, Germany, and doing a dual degree study as Bachelor of Scientific Programming and Mathematical technical software developer.
At epvp I mostly was active in the Browsergames / Darkorbit section until 2013. Additionally, I was hosting a dynamic advertising service for epvp from April 2014 until May 2017. Over the time I generated interest for the coders den section, too, but mostly only in reading but being active in its discord.

Why I want to apply for this job? I decided to apply for this because of the current announcement. I already thought about applying as a moderator about two years ago (may be wrong) but changed my opinion when I recognized Devsome already applied and supported him instead. Now that the offer for the post has been rendered, however, I would like to take advantage of the opportunity and apply for it.
Nevertheless, I think that becoming a moderator is a great chance to gain more experience for my further life, too.

I think I am made for this, as I have technical know how because of my studies and education. I personally find this quite relevant as the coders den is a section which is a platform to talk about an actual real professional area. So this is a bit difference in comparison to most other sections dealing with games. I also was able to gain some experience as a super moderator in a support forum of a software product.
Additionally I also think I am suitable on a human level as I especially in my education have learned to deal with good and critical feedback in a professional manner.

I want to make the coders then more lively by trying to fascinate new people for the topic. As a first step to realize this I would offer a platform to discuss about the different ways of training possibilities and courses to study. This includes user reviews and the possibility to ask questions to people, who actually have the experience to answer them. Further steps aren´t planned yet.

For transparency reasons I also want to say the following: I am currently in the last year of my study. This means that I have to write my bachelor thesis right now. After this I will work as an full time software developer. But I personally guess this shouldn't be a problem as I will have more free time after I have finished and as the coders den is a quiet section, in comparison to most of the others.

Deine Bewerbung finde ich in Ordnung. Nichts besonderes, aber sie beinhaltet alle wichtigen Informationen. Du solltest allerdings deine gesamte Bewerbung nochmal auf Fehler überprüfen.



Dein letzter Beitrag in dem Bereich (wenn ich kein Post übersehen habe) stammt vom 14.04.17, 4 Monate zuvor, somit schätze ich dich in der Sektion für relativ inaktiv ein. (Gilt nur für die Beiträge) Wie es mit den Reports ausschaut kann ich nicht wissen.

Zu deiner Person kann ich nichts sagen, aber auch wenn ich mir jetzt nicht alle deine Beiträge durchgelesen habe, schätze ich dich als freundlichen sowie hilfsbereiten Mensch ein. Meinetwegen ein ja.

Deine Bedenken bzgl. meiner Aktivität kann ich nachvollziehen, was aber auch am Studium und dem Ausbildungsabschluss gelegen hat in Teilen. Die Aktivität werde ich wieder hochfahren

Ich weiß wie schwierig es ist, Leute fürs Programmieren zu begeistern. Das versuchen einige Staaten schon lange und nur den wenigsten Staaten gelingt das. Gute Idee, nette Bewerbung und wie Lucia sagte schaue ich mir auch gerne an wann zuletzt und wie viele Posts du in deiner gewünschten Sektion verfasst hast. Das sind aber alles Dinge, die du - wie selbst gesagt - wieder hochfahren kannst. Halte deine Versprechen - von mir ein JA!

Die Aktivität auf EPVP hat zwar in letzter Zeit ein wenig nachgelassen,
aber vom menschlichen her denke ich schon das er dafür geeignet ist.
Ausserdem könnte unsere Sektion wirklich mal etwas frischen Wind und höhere Aktivität vertragen.
Bin mal gespannt was er sich da so ausdenkt.

Bleibt uns also nur noch ihm für die Mod-Bewerbung und seine Bachelor-Arbeit die Daumen zu drücken 👌

Da ich wenig mit dem Coders Den zu tun habe, kann ich zu deiner dortigen Aktivität wenig sagen, aber:
ich kenne einige Beiträge von dir aus dem Suggestion-Forum und finde sowohl deine Art mit Kritik umzugehen, als auch deine Idee an den Mann zu bringen ziemlich professionell.
Bwerbung gefällt mir auch gut. Ansonsten scheinst ein netter Kerl zu sein, wieso also nicht!
