Little Update at this Side

The Basic Core of the Launcher wich this Project will use is almost done.

There will be advanced Features implemented, such as Update Retry and the most important thing in my Opinion..

You have to login to the Launcher, before it starts working.

If the Login you provided does not exist, you will be asked if you want to create the Account (goes for Ingame account, too)

Also there's an internal Security System will will detect if Player's are banned (Not through the IP )

And im not sure Yet if i I'll Setup an Homepage.

P.S. Dont try to Decompile that Launcher, there is no SQL Connection Infos Stored. The whole Connection is been Setup by an Custom written Server Interface.

Naja, haut mich nicht wirklich vom Hocker. Sieht auf den ersten Blick so aus als ob du das erstbeste Bild genommen und ein paar Windows Forms drauf geklatscht hast. Bin mal gespannt wie du dass mit der MAC-Adresse umgesetzt hast, immerhin kann man diese in der heutigen Zeit auch ohne viel Aufwand spoofen - somit hätte sich dass mit den Sperren direkt wieder erledigt. Im Zweifelsfall wird eine Batch-Datei mit entsprechenden Parametern schon regeln.

Trotzdem Daumen hoch für die Arbeit die du dir machst. Jeder fängt ja bekanntlich mal klein an, mal schauen was aus diesen Server wird.

Naja wie willst du sonst noch jemand sperren außer mit Ip/Mac ban ? btw.. das gute ist das man die Personen trotzdem erkennt

Ich habe seit jeher die Meinung vertreten das die Optik sowas von zweitrangig ist, solange der Code dahinter effektiv ist.

Das man solche Sperren mit wenig aufwand umgehen kann, ist mir durchaus klar. Genau deshalb bin ich kreativ geworden und habe einen weg gebaut, jeden PC eindeutig zu erkennen. Die MAC ist dafür nur beim 1. Start ein Instrument. Weiter werde ich darauf jedoch nicht eingehen, denn sonst kommen Leute auf die Idee dem entgegen zu wirken. :P

Kleiner Nachtrag zwecks einer Batch Datei. Du magst recht haben das ne Batch mit den Argumenten jeden Launcher ersetzt.
Jedoch hast du nicht in Betracht gezogen das die Registrierung rein über den Launcher agiert und somit MUSS man zwangsläufig Zugriff zum Launcher bekommen ^^

Ich gehe mal davon aus, du bist neu in der Rappelz Szene. Man mag halten von mir was man will, aber mit Rappelz P Server Files arbeite ich mitunter am effektivsten. Es gibt vllt 1-2 Leute hier in der Section die mit mir mithalten können.

Zusätzlich sei gesagt das ich gar nicht vorhabe den Nummer 1 Server schlechthin zu gestalten, sondern einen Ort zu schaffen für diejenigen die das alte Rappelz schätzen und genießen.

Daher sind ****** die nach dem einloggen direkt 170 sein wollen und OP Buffs / Items erwarten, hier an der falschen Adresse.

I just started yesterday on the Server Update now. (Wanted to finish the Launcher first, since it handles Account Register, Redeem Codes, Voteshop etc pp.)

So everything you would find on an Homepage, is build into the Launcher.

Tomorrow i will try to start an custom crafting System. (Enhance System wont get touched)

Hey everyone.

I decided to start 2 Kind of Server.

The first (Wich will be launched in about 3-4 Day's) will be Epic 5 Only. That mean's, the old Epic you all know and love.

The second Server will be launched later, if the Request still on. The Features of that Server will be some Modifications, made by me and based on the Opinion, what this Epic could have made better.


So for now, i will Post the File's here, once im done finishing The Bugs i have found.

EDIT: Für die deutschsprachigen unter euch. Den Server habe ich international gestaltet, d.h. den Clienten wird es nicht in deutscher Fassung geben.

Imo it's bad idea, the retail-like e5 server will fail, why? Because once people hit 150 and tame dragon there's nothing more to do. You don't need another wd because you can't stage it, you don't need higher level because there's no better gear in this epic. That's why e5 without custom content has no future for me, just like zesua. I'm not comparing your server to zesua, I'm not offending you neither. I'm just introducing my opinion about it.

Or you could just run e5 and once your custom e5 is done, shut down the first one and transfer accounts to the custom-made e5. That would be better since the custom e5 would have more content for long-time playing, am I right?

I know, and for me this Server is just a Setup to let you Guys Play on, because i get spammed in private Message's.

This Server will save me some time, to finish the Mod's.

As well you can ignore this whole spam in your inbox. You clearly said that you need time to prepare the server, cause it's time-consuming and you have your rl life too, work and daily responsibilities, right? You shouldn't feel guilty of it because some people can't understand that. Anyway, running an e5 server temporarly to satisfy the impatient people is a nice deed from you. I wonder if they even appreciate that
