This is caused by the Arcadia database name.

It must be named exactly the same in the SQL object browser as it is in the gameserver.opt file.

Correct that and you should be able to log in with the right client and address port set up.

it the same but I think I have found out the problem. In MS SQL management i cn'at delete the password in sa, it always coming back even if a save.

do you know how to force it?

Your servers would not even start if you didn't have the password set up correctly. Princess, the auth server would give you a server init error.

Even a blank password shows asterisks.

ok for that by since i verified the name of the arcadia database it should work no? and for now i'm using the Shiva client to launch my server do you think i have to use another one?

ok now captainherlock work good but when i have to log i use the code that i trnaslate in md5 in the account table and it doesn't work. And in auth server it tell me

I am not sure what your talking about with the MD5 but make sure you hash the entire salt+password.

for the salt of 2011 then it would be like...

2011password

Hash = a0fbe15328286c82e14a7c37719e0124

when you log in you enter "password" in the password box

Because you attach your images as tiny little thumbnails...I cant see them.

I really have no idea why you can't seem to follow the guide and get a server running, maybe this just isn't for you.

Where did you get the auth database? I am hoping your not going to tell me you got it from the 5.2 files.

I followed the guide and i had error like some other on this forum so give me a break.

Even if I had take it in a 5.2 files the auth data base doesn't change with the epic. And i take it from an 8.1 folder

The auth data base does change depending on what repack you use.

You may have tried to follow the guide but, people that have had errors here had errors because they missed some important steps in the guide.

There are some people who could at least get the server running by following the guide, the errors that those people had came later while trying to fix the server / client errors.

I just asked about the auth because the server guide last I knew did not contain an auth with the download and people were instructed to use the 7.4 auth because it is compatible.

It is a valid question when you have fixed everything else but still can't log in.
