what program did you launch?
Also, if you already have some problems to run it on your server, i don't think you're verry suited to hosts a server =p.
But if you still wanna try, u must learn to use ssh, and bash.
Just order a server at some compagny if you want, the cheapest are around 30 €.
But be sure you know what you do and how to manage a server befor to order it, so that you don't order it for nothing

runserver-sql.bat..
everything working good at mapserver and log server but char server :S
actually i dont have any problem with txt server.
but this sql thing killing me xD . and i guess i cant take adventage of control panel and website without sql server..i know im not ready for host a server xd . but im working on it.
maybe need someone to teach me step by step this things x(

firstly remove the user s1/p1, and make your own account (lvl 99 ofc =p)
If you don't know how to do it,i think you have to learn some SQL, or install a phpmyadmin on your computer.

If anyone could point me to a guide that will work with all the new updates? Maybe a guide made within the past few months? I'm used to the SQL parts now since I tried this guide. dexter009988: You need to set up your account as a GM, try going to the login table of your MySQL database, search for your account, set the "level" column to 99 and restart your server
Sir_Jace: at eathena.ws you will find more and better guides regarding this, especially RE clients/RE mechanics

I found this on a fileserver. I can't say if this actually works or not, but you can try it.
I don't know how to use it and I didn't try it myself.
But for those who need it... read the readme.txt, there's everything you need.
I scanned it already, it seems to be clean.

Hey Leudz,
Hir erkläre ich euch wie man einen Ragnarok Server erstellt, wobei auch andere Ro'ler connecten können... also los gehts :
Als erstes ladet ihr euch die angehängte datei : eAthenaTXT-v1.0.0-RC5.rar runter
blabla entpacken usw.. dann öffnet ihr den conf ordner dort findet ihr verschiedne textdateien die ich jetzt erklären werde : ... also
in atcommand_athena.conf gibt es commands die man als gm eingeben kann
in battle_athena.conf könnt ihr einstellen welche lvl oder drop...

Hi, ich hab mir schon viele Guides angeguckt und auch rum probiert , dennoch weis ich nicht warum sich mein map-server sich als schließt wenn ich es öffne?
Ich habe die Datein aus dem Ordner "conf"
umgeschrieben auf meine ip
(char_athena ,lan_support,map_athena)
login-server geht
char server geht
der map server schliest sich nach :

Hi,
irgendwie bin ich zu dumm dazu ;D
hab jetzt von iRO Sakray und Rag installiert, geupdated und mit /repak gestartet
dann in den ro ordner den athena ordner rein
alles eingestellt ^^
klappt ja nu auch ganz gut o.o
