Not true. You connection goes through about 10 different stations and travels somewhere else.

So for example...

a ----- b ------ c

Point a goes through point b ends up at point c.

a ---/- b -----c

A problem between point a and b will decrease the speed of getting to point c.

a ----- b ---/- c

A problem between point b and c will also decrease the speed.

a ///// b ----- c
|...................|
|...................|
d---------------|
Can't connect to point B will make it go to point D to point c which will take a bit longer.
