Application [Conquer Online Private Server Section]

Hes a great person and a helpfull person.
I've seen him moderating an other forum (Not to mention the name).
He moderated great and did great jobs, when he left the forum went into hell. Users doesn't have respect for others and all threads are getting flamed.

I say yes!

If I can, I'd put forward that anyone who has been banned or intentionally removes their own posts with the intent to hurt the community should not be considered for a mod position. Period.

In full honesty, I'm very disappointed with myself and my previous actions. In no way do they reflect who I am today and have grown up to be. I've overcome all of the hardships in my life and have found the lighthearted, positive old me that's been oppressed for so many years. I doubt that this application will be accepted, but I've still come out of this as a much better person. I'm making progress every day, and although I was hoping to share that positivity and optimism as a moderator, I'm already doing so as a member. In any case (if this application is accepted, rejected, ignored, etc.), my offer will remain open for when my services are needed. Thank you for your feedback everyone.

Even tho i'm not as active as I once was, I have to vote no.

Here are my reason:
Conquer Online Programming Section: Lacks any public programming questions and releases. 1 or 2 People posting something every 6 months does not count!

Conquer Online Main Section: We can find all the information posted here on the Conquer Website. Posting already posted information is redonkculus.

Conquer Online Private Server Sections!: Again not enough posters! We need coders, not people trying to run a server for there own gimic. The release sections's should only and ONLY be allowed for source release, not fix for this fix for that. Well post it in the *** **** ******* release thread of the source!

Just covering the bare top of the pot. Not going to rant the whole thread away.

The Conquer Online section is ****, overly populated by wannabe server runners.

The Bottom Line?
There are to many lacks in programmers in the section. Everyone who is half decent enough hides like little girls in the underground section. Yes everyone who hides in the "Underground" section is a big ol fat girl. Why? Cause I ******* said so!

Sorry to run about in you thread Fang , but i see no reason to promote new moderation to a "dead" forum.

And about his position on 4botters- HELL THE FORUM GOT CLEANED A LOT WHEN FANG BECAME PART OF THE STAFF!

The issue is the person, not the section.

The section is filled with spam, flaming and offtopic posts. Those are why moderators are needed. I agree there should be more releases and discussion but the issue is that the activity that DOES exist is often needing moderator attention.

The Conquer Online section is very much alive. We have bot owners who are continually developing their bots in the Programming section, private server owners who are starting to develop on much larger scales, dedicated members who are benefiting from the community's discussion, release, and black market sections, and artists who are still active after years of experience in the client edits section.

College classes have taken up all of my time this week (due to the exams before Spring Break), but I'm still reading through every thread. I only release things that are my work. Since Burning Skies is only in the early, early pre-alpha phase, I'm not really coming across anything that might benefit other members at this time. I'll keep you all posted though.

I'm not much of a poster in CO Section, so perhaps you'll see my opinion as un-bias.
I'd say no. Why? Because it clearly states in the

that you cannot be staff of a competing forum.
A fact you chose to ignore on two counts; by not including such information in your application at the start and by posting your application in the first place.

I will say however that I do believe people can change, so whoever you were hopefully that is improved.

Finally I'd say that 6 months of activity for someone who has admitted being banned before, isn't enough (that's my opinion), perhaps in another 6 if you can keep with your current path.

---Off Topic---

I'd agree though that CO does need more moderators to ease the load, so ultimately perhaps the opinion's of the existing mods should carry more weight, as they are the ones responsible for the section and obviously have more experience with it.

I read it as you were rejecting his application because he is a staff member and failed to mention it twice, not that he previously was and gave it up to pursue a role here.
