When I applied here, I was already on my leave on the other forum. The owner had been offline for a considerable amount of time. When I submitted this application, I expected to be kicked from the staff within minutes - but that didn't happen for some reason and my leave was delayed. I didn't ask to be a moderator on the other forum. I just woke up with it one day (not saying I didn't want it - it was weird though).

On topic, realistically, it doesn't matter who you appoint moderator anymore, the section can't really deteriorate much further.

Here's how I see it though. While you may be truly honest in that you have changed, it doesn't change what happened. Just like I don't see myself ever having a chance at becoming a mod again (even though I was prior) due to the altercation I had with Korvacs long ago, I would also think you'd have a slim chance at one considering your past. Also.. comments like these make you sound like you're trying too hard to get the position. Whether you are or aren't, it sounds like you're faking a bit just to be a mod. Just sounds too forced. Your opinion is some-what insulting to me since I really despise who I was a few months ago, but I can understand how radical of a change it was and how shocking this application must be. Six months isn't much time. No matter how I phrase them, my posts will sound forced to people who thought they knew me.

I applied to be a moderator here so I could better help the community. I don't expect any personal gains and I don't want to be put above the status of a member. As an administrator on 4botters, I never put myself above a member. I became a staff member there to help the members, not restrict them. I don't have to be a moderator here. I'm simply offering my services to the community.

Don't take it as an insult too much. I haven't really been a part of the community as of late so everything I say is quite unbiased. It's just how it appears to someone who would generally not be a part of the community (such as the admins who will decide whether or not you get the spot in the end).

All in all, it's fine you want to help out, but there are more ways to help out than being a mod. It also helps to ease into the position. For instance, before I got mod, I was added to the underground and made decent contributions (even if no one made use of them (cue c++ server)) so when I applied to be mod, people didn't see any reason for me to not become one based on my track record. Yours is a bit... sketchy. Here's the rundown. The way it's seen, you go from raging at people and deleting posts, skip a few months, to "can I be mod?" I'd say some more time needs to pass and you need to show everyone your genuine intent to help the community before being made a moderator, no matter how badly they may be needed with people stepping down. It's nothing personal against you, and it's only my opinion.

Oh, sorry. I didn't mean that I was insulted in a way that would anger me. Thank you so much for your suggestions and opinions. As I said before, I'm just putting my services out there. The admins probably do see me as a problem. I'm surprised that this application is still open though if they're not considering me in the slightest. We'll see what happens in time. Thanks again.

They obviously are considering you as the thread is not closed. If the admins really didn't want to consider you, the thread would probably have disappeared a while ago.

I don't think it works that way. We've had 3 mods, two that stepped down, another that isn't as active as one would like since I posted that and that was posted after EO Section had been officially asked for people to apply for mod.
is still open but I highly doubt it's still on the admin radar, this however if can be kept up the top may be considered when the time comes. But not being closed doesn't mean consideration, it merely means you pass the criteria that is all.

Actually while an application is still open, it means that you are on the "radar", because if you get rejected, or it is noticeable that you do not fit with the position your application gets simply closed, all you people sometimes fail to see is that an application can be opened for months before there is a decision about the applicant.
