New around here, I was curious if this would be a good starting source for someone to learn and build off of? I've read through over 100 pages of posts about a few different sources, many more to sort through I'm sure.
I'm not a complete novice, but I might as well be. I wanted to land around the ninja patch, or maybe monk but I've contemplated building a solid classic server as well. So both are on my agenda.
I don't want spoon feeding. Just want opinions of someone who's been in my shoes.
So if you guys have suggested sources for 5089-5165(I think), please just toss me a name.

Thanks for your time. Happy holidays everyone!
Yeah, I think it's a good starting source if you're just looking to get experience for the first time. Redux is also great for that. If you're looking to eventually get into the networking aspect of it all (which is more advanced programming), then you can check out Comet (it documents all of that). Let us know if you ever have any questions. Good luck.
Thanks Spirited. I wanted a stable "core," I obviously don't mind features, I'd just prefer to make them myself. Crippling bugs/Issues are my main concern.
I have this and Redux downloaded presently, I will grab Comet if you suggest it for understanding networking. Thanks for your time.

Since you want to work on the source, I can provide you a copy of my 5808 version, which I'm currently developing for my server. But that wont be released for now, so, if you want the only thing I ask you is to don't share the code with anyone too.
The 5808 has some things different and has interesting bugs to work on too haha, but is much more promising

That would be awesome. I've been working on your world source this entire time, I'm just starting to get the flow of things. But you have my word, I'll keep it to myself.

[Release] Conquer Source 08/23/2009 - CO2 PServer Guides & Releases - 1 Replies Heya.
Since wrong people got ahold of this (immature kids, ofcourse) I decided to release it.
It's a source which base was made by Tanel, and was rewritten and continued by me.
I will not say that the coding in this source is great, because it's sure not. I stopped developing somewhere in 2008, so it's poorly coded in some places, but it has the basic stuffs + some more.
Here's a little list to give you a little information:
