+1 Theory

Yes so basically, picking up +1's depends on either
1> how many enemies you have killed, or
2> by how many fresh items you have picked up.
My guess is how many fresh Items, and not how many monsters.

So in theory, lets say a monster drops one weapon. There are 2 characters present, both who have yet to pick up a +1 item on the day: an archer with 1500 kills on the day and a trojan with 50 kills on the day

Scenario 1: The archer picks up the weapon, fresh from the kill, and it becomes +1
Scenario 2: The trojan picks up the weapon, fresh from the kill, and it is not +1

Therefore ->The more kills, the better the chances on picking up a +1 are, even if it is the same item

Heres my evidence:
I have spent the last few weeks concentrating on making money. My method: 10x elfape spawn in new canyon. I have been watching my kill counter closely, as well as the number of +1's I have been getting. On average, I have been picking up a +1 per 1000 elfape kills - picking up every item with the exception of pots, coats, and dresses.
Today I went and got 2000 kills, and no +1, then I saw a pair of elite boots, from a monster someone killed, and when I grabbed them, they just so happened to be +1. Right after I came back for more killing, my second Item turned out to be +1.
Thus, I grabbed 2 +1's for the 2000 kills, it all averaged out.
This has happened every single time, and has not proven me otherwise so far.
This in opposition to items with quality, there has been no indication that there is any pattern in their drop rate. They all seem to drop randomly

Why is this usefull?
For one, this will eliminate the need to pick up coats and dresses in fear that you could be missing a +1. If you do go say 4000 without a +1, the likelyhood of the next item being +1 is extremely high so you would concentrate on picking up either boots, neckies, rings, or anything with high profits.

Did this make sense to anyone?

I too think that +1s are random, however, i have come across times when i get two +1 item of the same type on two seperate days, but same time, place and coordinates. Guess that contributes to something.

yea.. wat he said.. and the last time i remember getting a +1 at apes was wen i had around 92 kills only..so i do think it depends on how many monsters were killed in that area..

I also think +1s are random.

I logged in to my fire tao and i played for about 10 minutes, within that time i had killed around 100 hawk kings. I found 1 +1 Trojan armor and a few refined items.

i think +1's are random because one time i got 3 pluss ones from 3 kills with one of my trojans

i agree with 4everpro ( i think thats his/her nick )
in elf apes ( i sopose its the place here almoust all the people hunts ) i have got a rate od +1 drops +/- like 1 to 1000 kills so i believe that in this monsters ( elf apes ) the "random" alguritm that TQ uses make the chance of getting a +1 item in 0.1%

and... the class maybe mathers i think cus usually i got +1 tao stuf when i dont use my tao to hunt and i get +1 one handeds with my tao more frequently tham with my archer

btw i beliebe tutally that the lvl maters... for some reason the noobs arrownd TC can get skills from the pheasants and i cant even after killed thousands of them with my archer

well for now its all xD

plz dont flame me cus all im doing is exposing my opinion

Here's my theory:

lets just say that the server sais once in (lets just keep on with the others) 1000 kills in one map/more maps in group that the mob drops a +1.

the 1000 could be different, maybe even change once in a time (could be minute, hour, day, week, maint, year whatever...)

at least, i think there's a theory behind it because NOTHING is completely random (Anywhere... it always has a reason that it happens)

Skill Books in TC are only dropped if Noobs kill Pheasants. If you are below Level 5 you get them as far as I can tell.

I leveled 2 PCs there and both got a drop.

Btw: I don't even believe into this luck thing. I had been hunting for about 24 hours in total with my Troj; then in 1 hour I got 3 elites (incl. a 2 soc club).

However, Skill books can be harvested by simply making new PCs and killing Pheants (I don't think it makes much sense though).

First post read my buddies account alot the past couple of days and never saw anything about this even tried to search.So I decided to make my own account and see what you guys thought. Now I did see threads about how every item has its own id, but as i am sure many of you have noticed items dropped by mobs have different stats than those sold by the npcs, for example the other day hunting i found 3 iron armors for a warrior i cant remember the exact stats on them but i do know that the...
