Moonbox Theory (Just a theory, don't flame =D)

Looks like my theory was wrong. Looks like all Moonboxes are Moonbox[32]. If you can prove that it isn't, by all means let me know =P

Moonbox Theory

In the Itemtype.dat file, there are 32 definitions for the item Moonbox.

Now, if each of those Moonboxes gives a different item/items, then we could pin-point what Moonboxes give the best items.

I have renamed the Moonboxes in the Itemtype.dat to Moonbox[1], Moonbox[2]...Moonbox[32] etc.
From what I have seen, Moonbox[32] is the most common Moonbox found.

When I do the Moonbox quest a few more times, I will list what I get in the Moonboxes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and please reply with feedback.

could u tell me with what program u opened the itemtype.dat file ? couse i open it with notepad and got (�ÅÊhú•Õ0s) << things like that....

Doesn't work like that any more.

Items are randomly selcted server side when the box is right-clicked, the server then sends a packet to let the client know it has deleted/removed the box from the inventory and sends the information for the received item so it can be added client side.

Yeah, a loooong time ago it used to work like that to determine your prize.. now ALL MBs are MoonBox32's.

Really? Dang, that totally ruins my Theory.


See, I was thinking that each had their own code to "randomly" give a prize, and each had a different chance of getting a better item.


But I guess my theory is wrong, o well =D

thy btw can we edit the color of moon box teoken to pink ?

just wondering, isthere a way (client sided) to make the command tokens into different colors/shapes, like... phosphorus: gold, deserted: normal, or something, just to make them look slightly different so we dont need to use itemtypes to c the moonbox command tokens...
