No fear Rorrim you shouldn't loose your account info.
What version of m8 are you running, sounds like it may be a old one, try using 1.31.

woops, didnt notice that it was old XD *tries it out* Cool.
Ya know, maybe you should have it export settings too, like the short cuts and fonts and character display options. That way when the person updates they dont have to waste time fiddling with it or the ini file (what I do to get the paths and button names the same as the previous version)
PS, have it be able to start other programs too, especially explorer.exe/taskman.exe if needed, sometimes mine crashes after extended co tging. Mind you, I often do much more on the pc than tg some characters. :P

The new ini file system I've used for the last few versions is much more stable you wont get the lost setting stuff anymore.

Yes the SC buttons will currently start any exe file.

There were some memory issues in old versions that would cause crashing after being used for too long, thats hopefully been fixed now.
Hope you enjoy the new version

It starts most programs, actually, but not the taskmanager, I just tried. (I spoke of explorer.exe as the crashing file) The last time explorer crashed i mapped a button to explorer.exe and it didn't work. I dont know if i did it wrong or what but c02m8 launches 95 pct of the files but not all of them :P

I got a problem. I click the boxes on the s and c menu to shut my pc down on dc and it doesnt seem to shut it down. Dont know what I'm doing wrong. I'm running Win XP if that helps any. I'm also TGing the chars that I want it to shut my pc down if they get dc'ed.
Aside from that It seems to be running just fine for me.

It doesn't do shutdown on lagout DC at this point, only on the DC functions(gem found, HP low and Too many PK points). Next version will also have shutdown on Dead, Server DC(lag, down) and time/date.
Just wanted to make sure the shutdown functions work for ppl before I expand it too much.

how about just a disconnect feature instead of logoff? much like the (thankfully) dead cobo, or is that impossible for this type of tool?

Yeah C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe works for me, but depends on your PC's %SystemRoot% mapping, do a search for explorer.exe and see what other locations its in.
I may do a option to logoff character instead of close client at some point but currently waiting to see what TQ do with the next version of the client.

I have the standard mapping of system root, but I really dont wanna end the explorer, then find I cant get it back up, that's a pain. I did a search and found 3, but the others were in the cabs and junk on my system (It has the win cd stored on it)

Hmm not sure what the problem is, does it only fail to start after it crashes, if so may be due to the way it crashes.
