Sounds like your 2nd pc might still use an old version of rubot.

Make sure that you are running the latest version of it.

Are you sure it's working for you now? On which game patch are you playing? Please try it yourself. It worked to me always before but now doesn't work on 4.8.

Yes, and it is safe as it can be, if there are other players around you should watch from time to time , or enable leave game if player is close.

You can test the normal gathering with the trial mode , aether will just work as fine as gathering.

Then just grab a key and go for aether if you like it.

It is , as I said you can use normal gathering with the trial (not aether) but it will work just like aether so no difference.
