Nope, this won't happen (at least as long as we use US format), I made it public on forum too, resources and tests have lead to nothing.
Still check PA like some months from now on, we might change our format to something else...

At some point it worked. Then you got "nukers OP, parahyb's OP, my granny is OP" and you can guess what happened...
But, as you say, wonderful game that a long running series of awkward (or just plain stupid) decisions managed to kill.

+1 for that. There are even more people than on testing phase yesterday. It was over 50% of the server capacity yesterday during the event.

Server capacity was set to 60 I believe, so that's about 30 people, not that much, but we're certainly improving, some guys came back because I managed to change my attitude and we overall made this server more friendly to the average 9D player.

Was ck reflection working too ? Hmmm....
Since you are one of the more informed people regarding the history of 9D (you were also right about KR first using our stats system and I wasn't), any ideas on what caused this :
?

Wasn't too sure what "this" meant till i read the comments. The (in)famous ckdef bug patch.
Nobody figured for sure which "version" of events gave origin to it, but it was either a mess up with Str being used for both def/ckdef or a f'ed up mismatch of versions with Con giving def/ckdef as in "KR2". Since it happened quite close to the "Str gives negative def" bug, i lean toward the first.
As you can imagine, no ck user was happy because with over 2.5k ck def, ck does f'all dmg.
Still, a pretty good show of bad things to come. After the Tibet/KJ epis, this sad state of affairs was permanent, with ck healers/hybs getting the shaft as their skill base dmg can't really dent anyone with over 1-1.5k ck def.
Pretty much illustrates the problem of using non-linear scales. It made sense on the original design given your best hits vs "0 def" were 5k'ish and needed to come down fast to [email protected] def, but if (ck)def ramps past that point, it hits the curve in a way that pretty much craps out dmg.

That's why the important part of the server is to balance the the def/ck def thing. That's why there are more ck def items to avoid 9nukers, but there are no +650 def epis

Guess you missed what i've been saying since oh... Acclaim was still on it's best days...
There is NO WAY to balance the equation by adding thing because... the original design was balanced without them.
Or, for a more practical view, search for G-Force's duels vs nukers. The only thing keeping them alive and not straight dead is... the def relics, ie, def trink and 50/60 def relics.
At that time, ~CS cap, things we're sort of 60/40 with def stuff keeping the balance towards nukers. Then LD came and def clothes+2nd role totally messed it because our stat system can't deal with it, ck dmg ramps up like stupid while melee takes a plunge. Then we got Tibet+Def clothes and it became worse, with total nuker dominance. Then Tibet epis+KJ finished the mess by tipping ck def over and making 3 classes pointless.
Or, blunt point in case, 9D v1 can't be fixed by adding 9D v2 items. They were put in to a) make money from IM and b) fix the v2 problems.
9D v1 works great as long as all you have is stat based items, because that's what it was designed for.

Fully agree with the points you made, however, that would completely stop development, since we can't get v2 stats system, nur does anybody want the v1 hardcore tryout that we've been trying to push (original v1 was even more hardcore btw).

Well, I know it's not possible to make it right that... But it's still better to even try to fix stuff like that instead of adding +1k def items.

maybe removing some def, dmg caps.and common masterys need a complete remake.. most of " extra " things things they giving are too low or near useles

Not to be mean, but i played in PA and in some odd way, it was even worse than Acclaim... You have a few odds'n'ends that don't add up and end up being neither here nor there.
If i was to build a "hardcore v1" server with a chance at success i'd go for this:
- XP. Acclaim was 1.5x not 1x. If you want 6x Acclaim (which i think it's good enough), it's 9x base not 6x base.
- Get the "bonus gear" right. People have been playing 9D too long to want to go over getting trivial crap all over again. It's enough of a job to hunt down non-trivial things. Thus said:
- Players should start with the blue+double orders, the +2 jade plate, the +2 relic you get from starting village (if quests we're working), 4x Frozen Sea Tiger Rings, the old "no reqs" weapons (iirc was a GL base weapon with +10all 10% speed), the old Ma Daie Ya 100def 4 pocket set and the old Halloween mask (+5 all 10% speed).
- RC1 give them the whole rc relics set.
- RC5 give them the 6 seals.
- RC12 the LF's.
- RL1(???) the 1/1k hp leech hat.
- FD1 the whole FD relics set.
- FD5 the Conqueror Trinket.
- SM8 8x Fox Fur Comforter's.
- GB3 the Golden Ball and the Dogteeth Necklace.
- EC1 the whole EC relics set.
- FC+ find old stuff that's "nice" in the event gear that's left over in the DB. Mouse hats, panda hats, swimsuits, etc... There's enough great stuff in there to keep people looking forward to a level up.
And if you're not aiming for IM profit, please, do give people the extra bags. Most are pack rats and hate having no room.
- Give the dungeons a do over. CoF/VoH could drop say a root (30% hp) and Mansion/BT a KG. And improve the chance of clothes, slotted (for the endgame). Also make the passes tradeable for trivial crap like Qilins statue (a good reason to pick them up...). GCM/BP should get the good (400) dmg wb's and the 3/1k hats.
- Give world bosses a do over too on drop. Anything LD- drops a 3 roots, anything LD+ drops 2KG. That should make for some fun "boss dominance" fights.
-Improve Conqueror's Dungeon statues/mob/chest drops. Rate is miserable, always been. And given item "redo's", karma plates and 2 slot 300wb's would become significant items.
-Ref kept to +9, 100% to +5 and decreasing to say 5%@+9.
-And ofc, no def items, 2nd role or non "original v1 skills".
p.s. Yes, i did humor the thought of building it up myself, but sadly my 2nd box isn't big enough to hold more than 2 maps up...

This is not an advertisement for Elite Shaiya, server is not ready for beta, still in Alpha planning stage.
I'm looking for some players with extensive knowledge of both AOL and UOF sides to comments on making more balance server in PvP, economy and others areas. My knowledge is all in AOL side, if possible I would like players with heavy UOF experience if possible.

As promised the launch of the alpha phase of CPX, it will be online for 1 week then we'll start finishing off the source for the real deal!
FAQ:
So how does this works?
The alpha phase will be started for one week, after that we'll start finishing off the source and fixing the existing bugs you found in the alpha phase.
Is there a possibility for CPX to launch earlier?
