So a quick disclaimer/defuser here, I joined this site a few years ago looking for a good fishing bot (I absolutely hate WoW fishing, but needed to level some cooking). Anyhow, over the years I've tried five rotation type bots from here, all but one were standard pixelbots. They worked, did about as advertised maybe a little salesmanship overload, but still workable. At the time of posting this I'm on my 3rd WoW account, for those that haven't gotten a ban that's two strikes per account before they permanently ban it (or was in my case). I followed all of the common rules about not sharing the fact your using a bot, renaming files/folder, and not overusing them. For whatever reason, the bans are still there and each one was the same generic reason of using third party software, and outside of UI addons for action bars and the auction house I don't use anything third party besides the previously mentioned bots. Now for the disclaimer, I don't care if you do or don't use bots, it doesn't matter to me if you try to gain an edge levelling or even against me personally in PvP. Either way I still have plenty of fun in the game, I like the bots because I'm a lazy bastard that doesn't like keymashing. And for the defuser, I don't care if you make bots, use bots, resell bot services or simply try to help your friend(s) get their bot into circulation. I don't make bots, sell bots, or endorse anyone over another, I simply don't care about your bot so if this post triggers you, complain to someone else, this post isn't for you.
To be fair, since I'm not trashing anyone's bots, I'm also not going to promote anyone's addon here. I will however tell you that in the years since I've tried bots, I've also used an addon that I specifically brought to Blizzard's attention to finally just keep an account with no bans. All it basically does is have you enter a series of commands or macros, then set the speed at which you want those macros to fire off in milliseconds and off you go. And the point of this post is to tell you this data, whether it's fact is up to you since I'm not asking anyone to just trust this on blind faith, if you're already using a bot, then the addon is free to use and get your own data. The data that I had gotten over about 7 weeks of me and a coworker testing bots vs. the addon is that there was literally no difference in the DPS we were recording using two separate DPS meters in game with controlled gear and builds. We used an in-game timer, DPS meters, heirloom gear and exact builds making extra sure no stats or attributes changed between bots and addon. Two of the bots even had slightly less DPS than the addon, just a few hundred points, but less none the same.
The point of me even posting the information is just to give you an alternative choice if you're on the fence about bots, get a little tired of the insanity some of them use for pricing, or even can't be bothered to go through some of these bots' insane setups in order to get them working. Again for these creators, love you, respect your products, and might even use another one if something amazing comes along (the addon isn't perfect, so I'm still hopeful of a superbot for lazy bastards like me). And if you don't like addons, macros or sometimes crazy randomization then the addon I used isn't for you. Essentially since it fires of so quickly, it's almost like facerolling your keyboard with an action bar full of macros. And in the end, I'm not asking anyone to take it at face value, or just dish out some blind trust, pick a few of these bots, pickup the addon and check the DPS meters for yourself. Either way, hope it'll contribute in some way to this site, I've read hours of posts here over the years, figured I'd try to just give a little back.
