I never seen server standing on sremu. Strange, its perfect emu xD you can walk 1 min and crash. Really good programer write it.^^

@Micupika Everyone in this forum or some ppl knows that Windirus, jMerlin, Shadowz are very skiled in coding cuz in many threads they helped people with codes or exchanged experience with code if u dont beleive u can search the fuorums!I havent even seen pax doing this **** i was in registered in sea forum i even saw one member asking for codes examples and pax dont even responded.If hes the GREAT CODER he has to prove it.So heres a solution:Micupika stfu and say pax to stick his crapy emu in his *** cuz im sick of u defemding pax ???IS HE UR GF??? i SAY FCK PAX

But for now C++ sremu cant hold 5 ppl without crash :P
I really have flying elephant and emulator in assembler better than isro really :P

Actually, on my machine, SRemu2 can hold something around 10,000 people.
(1 thread each = 1MB stack, 50K in userdata, 10,000 * (1.048828125) = 10.242462158203125 GB ram, that leaves just enough room before my system crashes because I have no paging file)
That's in development mode, and on a dev machine with only 12GB memory. A server would have around 32GB memory and use far less memory per resident player. The context switching would also make it laggy as hell, it's not designed to handle that many players yet, but it wouldn't crash.

It's funny -.-. I can say the same too. My emulator can hold 100k people. It's easy to use it.
Show us !! One picture of "your emu" ! You can't show us, because you DON'T MAKE any emu.

Sure, 10k is totally comparable to 100k. You clearly don't know what you're talking about.
On my release version which will be running the closed beta, 100K users will use around 50K resident memory each. In addition, about 1 GB of memory will be reserved in pools for various objects. CPU time needed per host is almost negligible, and only network I/O happens so it's mainly I/O-oriented, the CPU will sit waiting for packets about 99% of the time. We'll also need around 2kbps per user to handle the packets without queuing them up and causing drops and retransmissions.
So total memory needed: 5.76837158203125 GB
Total CPU needed: quad core CPU at 2.5GHz +
Total bandwidth needed: 24.4140625 MBps (195.3125 mbps)
The only thing on that list that makes it prohibitively difficult to host that many users is the bandwidth. You'd need an OC-3 or higher, and those start at like $20,000/month, dedicated. Buying into an OC-12 pool would be cheaper.
As I said, even the old srvc can handle thousands of players. Even that is far better written than SSE, in that it scales with hardware properly. The source is there, compile it and test it for yourself.
