Web silkroad is flash-based I guess, but I doubt that one is. It will be only for iOS and Android.

Mmmm, Interesting. But, there's always a way to hack such mobile games  . They're not that protected like the original. I mean, look for angry birds. ****** up on all its versions . PC and Mobile .. XD

well, im not an aeronautical engineer but even some 12 year old WITH a brain ofcourse can create better spaceships than NASA's team of engineers lol
I'm tired of seeing people with 0 idea about programming/designing blaming about how easy is to make Silkroad.
Remember that before the release of the serverfiles, there wasn't even a decent emulator released for such a "simple" game. The most advanced one was Zelos and still it had lots of bugs and was missing a lot of stuff.

Any ways @ Synx me too everyone says sro is an easy game to make. If it was so easy wouldt there be thousands of sro copies. Sro is pretty unique in skills

I was like that too, thought making a Model and the Animation is quite easy for Joymax but once you do a Model for yourself or you try to add Bones and such stuff it is pretty hard. Now I understand why it took one Year at least for Joymax for each Cap Increasement and with the Monsters that comes with it.
Already editing a existing Model in Blender is quite hard for a Newcomer, then all those Settings like "Include VU" , "Include Normals" , "Triangulare Faces" or "Keep Vertex Order". If you just tick something wrong, your Model won't work in Silkroad, no matter what.
At the current state, it is impossible to make a Animated Model since nobody knows exactly how the .BAN Format works at all and how to convert a Animation File to a .BAN File.
That means if Joymax stops Indeed the development of Silkroad, either way the Scene will die because there won't be new Content like new Monsters with new Animations / Skills or even a third Race or it will survive because the Community makes Tools for those stuff like for all those Formats so we can create our own Content.

well,yeah it was probably hard as ***** to create back in 2004 or whenever sro was released,but im sure theres someone making a private emu thats more advanced than the Zelos one

Of course any 12 years old with no disease or mental illness can create a model but he/she will be 13 when its done lol. You guys are overestimating everything and understanding each other totally wrong sometimes. You can create a model and that can take a week. Good for you but that doesn't make you a modeller.
A real modeller with a job, who knows easier methods of making it can be doing it in a day or hours. You can make an emulator. That can take 1 year for you. Still something that is hard FOR YOU doesn't have to be hard for everyone else in the world. A guy who was in the project of making x game but was fired from company for some reason could very well make it's emulator in way shorter time. You don't have to judge everything how you see.
