If he's creating a defense styled silkroad game, I think he knows what he's doing.

Its TOTALY new game, my game. I used sro graphic because i dont have money to pay for graphic engine, designers and rest.

Silkroad modded client its only a platform. I know its hard to belife but except graphic nothing connects me to silkroad anymore. So you can stop whining.

Private Servers have future, YES. People do not understand the fact that the industry (because yes, it is an industry) of private servers need fresh air. See the example game Mu Online. Although the game itself is already saturated, I see many changes! Such as the implementation of a system of "reset," or the question of the increased speed of the character. These are small things that make the gameplay more interesting. The era my friends, is the professionals. Who knows innovate, will surely have the money at his side.

The problem is that most people think that if they edit silkroad as much as possible it will bring alot of players. But what we really want is to play silkroad as it was meant to be played.

Its funny, cause if you try to offer such a server people are leaving after not even a week because of it is "boring". Community has changed to much, its not possible to bring back the "old silkroad"

thats because nobody wants to spend time getting capped on 5x~10x and nobody wants to be capped in 20 minutes
