I dont know about The Unique Monsters as Ive never gone after them yet.
But for a related issue I think...I keep getting C/E's While Fighting against Giants. I will get it down to about 25% Health or Less and The Game Will Crash. Just a Few Minutes ago it did the same, but this time It didnt just crash the game, I crashed the Whole PC to the Blue Screen Windows Error Message. Its pretty wierd because Ive created 2 characters within the past few weeks. The first was a Euro Character, And I never once Had the Game Crash while Fighting the Giants on the Euro Side. Now ive Created a Chineese Character and It Crashes A lot of the Times while Fighting the Giants, Tigers and Bandits and the Like.
