Hello everyone,

I've got good news and bad news.
The good news is - This is my last release.
The bad news is - This is my last release.

It's been 5 years since lilprohacker first released , which has been of great help to anyone, be it a dev, an admin, a designer or a thief. We don't have to forget that if it weren't for lilprohacker, Shaiya wouldn't be where it is right now.

Over the last year, I have heard a lot of people wishing for the data file tool to do more than what it does, and somehow I couldn't help but agree. Nothing is perfect, there's always something better that can be achieved.

As it happens, a few weeks ago I decided to try WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) out, and it turned out to be so much more powerful than Windows Forms when it comes to graphics. It's what you can call love at the first sight (the geek version).

Shaiya Data File Tool v2 is my first WPF project, and I have to admit it myself, the results are pretty good.

FEATURES

• Importing multiple files at once
• Import multiple folders at once
• Importing patches into clients
• Editing patches
• Gorgeous interface
• A powerful explorer with key support
  • Hold Ctrl to toggle select multiple elements
  • Hold Shift to select a range of elements
  • Press Delete to delete the selected elements
  • Press Backspace to move one folder up
• Drag and Drop
  • If there's no client or patch opened in the application, you can simply drag any SAH or PATCH file and drop it over the application window. Otherwise, you can use the menu on the upper left to open a new client or patch.
  • If there's a client or patch already opened, you can drag files, folders and patches over the application window, and they will be imported into your client/patch.
• Click on a SAH or PATCH file to open them in Shaiya Data File Tool v2 (must be enabled from the settings)
• SData encryption/decryption
• Others

Me and several others have tested this and it seems to work fine. If you encounter any error, please leave a post below with the error message and what was the application processing when it occurred.

Requires to run.

I'd like to thank Philipp & Lube for helping me with the interface, it would've looked much uglier if I did it alone, so thank you guys.

Thank you. I can't even begin to explain how useful options like 'delete' or 'rename' are. (And not just for editing, they're useful in more many ways).
Also thank you for pointing out WPF, I didn't know it existed but now I have something interesting to play with. (it works with c# right?)

A constructive sugestion (if you have the time oc): Can you make it to display folders and files in the old 'list' or 'detail' format, instead of 'icons' ?
And, could you enable a 'maximize' button?

WPF is just another part of the .NET framework, which means it works with C# and VB. A difference between Windows Forms and WPF is that the WPF designer uses XAML code for its mark-up, instead of C# code, which makes it look more like HTML. Moving from Windows Forms to WPF may feel a bit weird, but it's totally worth it. I could write a lot about why WPF is superior, but the best thing to do is try it out yourself. Windows Forms are great for small applications, but when it comes to bigger ones, which require a lot of controls to be displayed, as well as a more flexible interface, WPF is the way to go.

Philipp suggested I should make multiple view options like the Windows Explorer has (tiles, lists and so on). I didn't want to complicate things too much, so I left it like this. The same reason is valid for me not creating a maximize button.

I don't have any intention of currently changing this, but if I'm bored some time in the future, I might. For now it'll be as it is.

Importing folders or multiple files, just what I asked for not long ago on V1 thread. Very nice, it's going to be very useful.

I'd have to agree that I prefer the list view rather than large icon view though, other than that I'm sure everyone will be updating to this.
