Ok, after using the tool for a little while, I've came back.

Would you consider adding the encrypt/decrypt file options? Currently I'm still using LPH tool for that and honestly I prefer to just use as little tools as possible.

Also, the ability to move up a folder gets bugged sometimes since it's actually "go back" and not "go up" using the button, not backspace. I don't have the error atm but I'll update later if it occurs again.

What I find quite interesting is that the first version of this application was downloaded 368 times, and only 48 people bothered to click the Thanks button. However, if anyone here thinks this is the real issue, you're wrong. Let's look at the people who commented for saying thanks instead of using the Thanks button, which by the way is in contradiction with the forum rules. I won't spell any names, even though it's quite easy to see who are those I'm talking about. One thing to notice - nubness updated the application only 4 hours and 31 minutes after some changes were requested. Gratitude? Nope, never heard of.

We've all heard of those Shaiya hacks which required you to thank the poster in order to use them, and I can promise you one thing - if there's someone who can make you really click the Thanks button, it's nubness.

Hopefully those ungrateful people will take note of what I said. If this happens, I will remove my post.

It's a good point JuuF made there about gratitude, but maybe there's simply no more hope in humanity left.

Also, I strongly recommend that everyone downloads the new version, as the old version was not decrypting the SData files correctly. I apologize for any messed up SData files out there. This application has quite some features, so I probably simply forgot to test the cryptography functions before releasing the first version.

I've received the error I previously mentioned.

How: Importing a folder, go back/up a level
Error: "Length cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: Length"
Repeatability: Always

My workaround for this is to simply re-open the client/.sah file again. It's mainly just an inconvenience, to double check the file is imported properly etc.

I know you respect your releases, so I thought I'd contribute.

Hi, I am experiencing a problem.
It's not with the program itself, the files are extracting as supposed to, however, when I try to open them with shaiya studio I get this:

"Error, the file item.sdata can not be loaded or processed"



So, my guess is that the files are not decrypting correctly.. but I really don't know.

Additional Info:

- I am using this to open the file. As far as I'm aware of, it's the only program avaiable.. (Shaiya Studio update 0.7.1)
- I am clicking on "Decrypt" before I extract the file
- I am not using some strange remote version of the game, it's the official
German+French+Italian+Poland+Turkey most recent client version.
It's the european version, they made one client for everyone with an option for the language.

What can I do?

The latest SData versions cannot be opened with Shaiya Studio.

Is there no other way and/or software to do it? Even without all the options that Shaiya Studio offered?

You can code your own new .SData parser.

I think don't have the skills to do it unfortunately..unless it's some kind of boring and long but easy process, than with some sort of guide I'll do it.. is there no way to open the files though?
Even without being able to edit them, just as a text list to be clear..
Or to change the way files are decrypted for SData ep.7> ?
Lph once said something about the game.exe decoding the SData to read it, and the possibility to come up with a decrypting line, looking at the one used by game.exe

The encryption is the same, the file format isn't. You can decrypt it and open it in a hex editor. If you want more, you'll have to create your own parser.

The Hex editor only provides few lines of text though.. a converter to adjust the file format does not exist? I mean there are servers with this new items working a customized so there's to be a way
