Hey,

This was my first SQL communication tool. Anyone who finds this useful are free to use this as they wish.

And fyi, if you got a tiny little peanut for a brain like gr4ph0s here does, don't use my tool.

as the image suggest to run this program, why admin mode is needed ?

Because it reads and writes from disk. (ban list + error log)

Hum hum moreover is protected to reflector... You have luck i'm lazy for add bit in your exe for use with reflector and I like the concept safe? not safe? Make mad noobs !

Hummm and why? simply because if you have admin right you can easy bypass FW and send data connection to you FTP/mail or any other things ^^


PS: is very funny to see a man who say "EPVP is a bullshit","rappelz is a bullshit", "EVERYONE here are noobs" do a tool for manage data that can be easy manage in SQL ^^

As I said - do not use that tool if you don't trust it, simple and plain. No one wants to see you moan in here. And for the record, the three statements you made have never been done by me.

if your try to write in a user folder (that is, not in read-only folder like C:\windows, C:\Program files, C:\, ...) you should not need this, and that could be too complicated to do (3 clicks instead of only 2 is too many)

I said that, because i hate when programs wants to have admin right while doing nothing that would need them (like rappelz ...) . If every programs use admin right only if they need them, even if you download bunch of viruses, UAC should be enough as a anti-virus (at least if there is no security flaw in the uac used by these viruses)

And if you want to automatically have admin rights, you should use a manifest file with

        <requestedExecutionLevel level="requireAdministrator" uiAccess="false"/>
      </requestedPrivileges>
     </security>

I agree only to the effect that any program I write, where admin rites are necessary, has a manifest that requires admin rites.
Having said that, Marek is a brilliant with .net. His Code is always well planned and clean. Your releases are much appreciated, mate.

Hab das Programm benutzt und plötzlich kann ich mich nicht mehr bei meiner SQL 2012 DB anmelden da das Passwort plötzlich geändert wurde.
Ob es mit dem Proggi zusammen hängt weiß ich nun nicht jedenfalls ist es nach knapp 30 Minuten passiert als ich das Programm benutzt habe.

Darf nun alles neu machen oder gibt es eine möglichkeit das PW zu ändern ?

Am Program liegt es denke ich mal nicht. Ist die Fehlermeldung bei MSSQL denn explizit, dass das Passwort falsch ist? Ich denke eher, dass das eigentliche Problem vor dem PC sitzt und du was bei der Loginmaske falsch eingegeben hast^^

Klar kann man das Kennwort auch ändern...Google ist da dein Freund...falls du Mixed Mode Anmeldung bei der Installation angewählt hast, dann kannst du dich sogar mit deinem Windows Login Infos einloggen.

Es lief ja die ganze Zeit normal also kann es schlecht an mir liegen konnte mich immer anmelden und plötzlich kommt nun die Fehlermeldung ohne das ich was gemacht habe.

Zur Info ... Die DB wurde nicht erst grade erstellt sondern läuft schon seit 2 Wochen und keiner außer mir hat zugriff drauf.

PS: Nicht das das falsch verstanden wird aber ich meinte nicht das das Proggi zu 100% drann schuld ist nur das es komisch ist das das passiert ist als ich es benutzt habe.

Kleiner Tipp am Rande, falls du bei der Wiederherstellung auch Benutzer wiederherstellen lässt, solltest du dir mal beim Punkt Sicherheit die ganzen Anmeldungen anschauen Es dürften ca. 10 Benutzer mit Berechtigungen vorhanden sein.

Nennst du jetzt endlich mal die explizite Fehlermeldung oder postest nen Screen? Das Programm hat zu 99% NICHTS damit zu tun!

Es kann aber durchaus ab und an passieren, dass der MSSQL Server die Anmeldemaske resettet und dann stehen da keine korrekten Daten mehr drin. Ist mir auch schon öfter passiert. Da muss man dann alle Angaben (Meistens ist DB Server dann leer bzw. falsch) neu eingeben.

Nenn mal die Fehlermeldung bzw mach mal nen Screenshot. Deine Angaben sind schlicht und ergreifend mangelhaft.
