its a bug heres what works for me let auth load then run gameserv in admin mode let it load fully then type the commands for start and etc it seems to run fine but if i do start_service before gameserv is done it crashes if i do steps above and im not in admin mode it crashes
restoring only works for so long before u have to do it again .
also moding stuff is one thing but dont mod the game to much guys or it will never let u log back in like the skills +255 all skills? ya it seems gm is one thing it allows some changes not many to the acutual db.
gms mostly use skill codes to buff themselfs or a gm tool which there is one but its private for now.
there is set perameters for how high basic skills are before it breaks the system
hince why some have issues and have to restore.
now modding tames,enchants etc is fine.
but you cant modding the actual skill charts with out changing the entire infrastructure* i mean u can of course you can but not safely. a few tweaks here and there is fine tho .
ok let me give an example
defect finding was a good skill say i said screw u rappelz i want it back i cant just add it i actly have to mod files,skill charts,and the client and files for said corisponding skill.
now while it wouldnt be hard to add a skill like that. and sure it would run with it but... thats not saying it would run correctly or safely for that matter.
not with out all the correct procedures
so for now id say just use gm buff codes or if u plan to mod skills dont mod it way past common sense
