What version of Windows are you using ? XP, Vista or 7 ?

If you are running one of the last 2, make sure you run mxi as administrator

Technical Bug Update Notes:

This little update has a bunch of things that have been bothering me and bothering you guys as well. So I hope you guys/gals enjoy your time in the game a tad more with these updates. They also need some testing. hint hint.. poke poke.

ye' old mighty bug list:
----------------------------------------------------------

Bug: Guild vendors don't show a price when you try to sell them an item.
-- Patched. Ready for testing.
---- All of the guild shops should show a buy price.

Bug: Auction house not working/crashing server.
-- Partial patch.
---- It's not complete but I need it to be in a non-server crashing state. (AH has been wiped clean)

AH Notes & known issues.
- You can sell items but not stacks of items. You even have to unstack from 12 to 1 or 99 to 1.
- You can buy items.
- When you buy an item it will give a message w/incomplete information. (IE: You buy for 0 gil.)
- Server may crash if 2+ people try to buy the same item.

Not 100% but I am still working with the code.

Bug: You loose your magic spells when you zone.
-- Patched. Ready for testing.
---- On the alpha server I didn't loose my spells. BUT! I fear there are some unforseen consequences for this.

Bug: You keep your previous weapon skills when you change weapons.
-- Patched. Ready for testing.
---- In my tests this was working out pretty well. Just like the magic patch there are some unforseen consequences for this.

Bug: When leveling up your main character your subjob doesn't go up.
-- Patched. Ready for testing.
---- If your SJ is higher then your main it should go up immediately as you level up.


Minor Changes:
----------------------------------------------------------
- New Characters should receive 100k gil automatically.
- All current characters now have 100k in their pocket.

Server GM changes:
GM Command Help Menu
- I created a new help menu in the PXI console. Typing ? in the console window will show what server commands are available.


@GM Commands:
----------------------------------------------------------
@Changejob:
-- Patched & available.
---- Players can use this command by typing "@changejob #"

The number being 1-20. It will not allow you to set your job level anymore. What it will do is change to that job at its current level. Example: If you have a level 10 thief and type "@changejob 6" it will change to thf at level 10.

@changesjob:
-- Patched & available.
---- This works exactly like the @changejob command. Except it is for your sub job.

Notes: If the current level of the job/sjob you are trying to change to is 0 then you will not be able to change to it.

Other notes:
The server is starting to turn into something respectable. It is almost starting to feel like home.

Bugs
Dangruf Wadi , gysers work though no visible animation (evo and wry)

Signet - Doesn't always give crystals (was killing wadi hares with it no crystals)

0/30 inventory and no Equipment error - this one sparked by the lovely @changesjob - (Evo)

Giddeus nms were missing

@changejob /@changesjob won't let me change to all jobs

wry equipped a earth crystal to ammo at some point

*Crafting notice*

Ok I tested the crafting and so far the skill levels do rise. I did notice that it does not tell the current level of the craft when it is attained. For example I was level 1 and I reached the final .2 and I leveled to 2, but the text did not notify me of this. It is a small thing and doesn't really matter atm, but I thought I'd let you know. I have some more stuff to mess with, but so far so good. I signed up with the guild in Bastok Markets and it appears I was signed up. The guild worker did not give me the fire crystal she normally would in the retail version, but that is merely a scripting error I believe.

-Guild works in Bastok Markets and a player is able to sign up.
-Crafting skills do rise and the player can reach the next level.

*****Bug****
-Guild NPC did not give the crystal that is associated with signing up for the guild.
-Crafting does level, but no notification is placed in the text such as...
Borfax's Goldsmithing skill rises .2 points.
Borfax goldsmithing skill reaches level 2.

I still have more to test, but this is what I've noticed so far.

Good job on everything. Server is coming along fast.

Thanks for the testing there Borfax.

I removed the crystal purposely. I am ok with the guild giving out a reward for joining but it has to be something worth getting.

So here is an idea.. Submit your thoughts on what you would like to get for simply signing up to a guild. If I find it reasonable, respectable and relating to the guild I may just add it.

Edit: Auction House Update: This thing is the bane of my life.. It works perfect as it is on my alpha server and crashes on the other.. /grumble.

I'm also ok with giving the first +1 (craft) gear, like the specs or the mitts etc.

Or.... just give one of the key:item, like Noodle Knedding for cooking etc.

My main character (Eshantarl) is bugged in Maze of Shakrami

cannot log on her, makes mXI crash

*Crafting update*

Ok here is the next crafting update.

I did some more tests and found a few bugs.

*****bugs******
-Skills continue to rise even if they are above 4-5 levels on a break synth. (on public servers, from what i remember, if a player breaks a synth around 4-5 levels above, no skill will be given.

-I received a .4 when synthing and I am not sure that was possible in the public servers.

-I received skill when making an item below my current craft level.

I also am noticing that I get kicked every 15min from the server. I receive a time out 4001 error. I am not sure if it is me and my hamachi connection, but I find it a little strange.

Anyway that is all I got. I will continue to search for crafting bugs in the meantime.

Hey guys,

New user here but I think I can try and be of some help to you all. I know SQL and can help with the LUA.
I just have a couple of questions.. Is there any collaboration going on? Seems like there are multiple developments going on by different people.

Also, should we open a bug tracker to help keep track of the bug changes?
And who should i get in contact about development?

I'm really just helping xworndownx with tracking down the bugs in the server. He is the main one changing scripts and editing the SVN. There are many people in charge of the scripts before now like lionhart3001 and Tom_Neverwinter, but as far as I know xworndownx has a test server to try out the changes and many people are testing bugs. Help is always welcome as far as I know, and welcome to the forum.

@jowy: Glad it fixed itself but doesn't help me look into things. Info like how you got there, were you on a mission, near a npc, trying to trigger a npc, killing a mob is always helpful.

@Borfax: I do recall in the public server that I got a few skill ups during the craft. Keep up the good work. I'm really interested in seeing what happens when/if you hit the first level cap.

@tk: There is no collaboration going on between the servers and they are all pretty different source wise. There is SpiraXi - Neverwinter - 6.4 - 6.5 and then this one (DLX6.5d). I haven't heard/seen any news from the others regarding updates so I assume they quit/left.

This thread is one large bug list and project update thread. I try to make/post new updates every day or two what what I have done/added to the test server. I haven't sat down to actually write up bug tracker.

I'm the only one actively coding/scripting at this time.
Jowy has offered to fix up the weapon skills.
Borfax is testing all the crafting.
Sonzuo was testing the bastok missions.
There are a lot of bug reporters.

I'll just take a look around and test out the dev server for now. I have much faith in this project and looking forward to helping in any way i can!

I was just putting forward my thoughts to maybe help ease and contain the chaos of information.
