Looks to be patched as of 7/8/2025 - sorry folks! I should have used it to dupe out some stuff, I snagged up an assault orni and that was it haha.
Prep two chests with 1 item of whatever you want to dupe - like Spice. Chest A will have one spice, chest B will have one spice. Now take 400 spice - I NEVER dupe a full stack, it for some reason results in ghost items a lot more frequently, so when you go to deposit your duped items into a chest, ensure it wont overflow a stack. So dupe 400 spice and deposit it into chest A with less than 100 spice in a stack, so that stack never reaches the max of 500.
Open your vehicle inventory after you prep the chests and have 400 spice.
Cut connection - wait for yellow indicator. (I use netbalancer)
Double click on the spice to insert into the vehicle.
Double click on the spice to pull out - the objects will not leave the vehicle.
Split the objects with right-click. You will have two stacks in the vehicle - with using our example two stacks of 200 spice.
Re-enable data connection.
Original objects will show up in your inventory with the split amount still in the vehicle. So you will have 400 spice in your inventory, and one stack of 200 spice in the vehicle will show.
I wait for the connection to fully re-connect before moving on from this step.
Close vehicle inventory - DO NOT DEPOSIT your inventory into chest A until you store the vehicle and recall it - if you deposit beforehand a few different things can occur. Most notably you get a high instance of ghost items, or the dupe just doesn't take. Doing it like this I rarely if ever get any ghost items.
Store vehicle and then recall it.
Before checking the vehicle store what is in your inventory into chest A. Once you have stored your inventory, now you can open the vehicle inventory - if you don't store before opening ghost items can occure.
Open vehicle inventory and take all, then deposit these items into your SECOND CHEST (chest b). If you deposit these into the same chest as what was in your inventory you can trigger a lot of ghost items.
If for some reason you get ghost items as you are duping a large amount of objects over time, just destroy the two chests, pick up everything that drops and depost them elsewhere. Store your vehicle and log out for 30 seconds.
