There's another method that has been made public, which is even faster.

You need 2 chests and the thopter, I'll call them chest A and B.
- Prepare chest B with all 100 cases having the item you want to be duped (for security)
- Have the chest A with 500 volumes of what you want to dupe
- Open chest A, select thopter inventory
- Disconnect network
- Transfer from chest A to thopter
- Transfer from thopter to chest A
- Reconnect network
- (the items should stay in chest A, if not, you've done something wrong)
- Pick up thopter
- Put back thopter
- Go to chest B, transfer from thopter to chest B (faster than doing a few trips between thopter and chest)
- Go to chest A, use take all key (it's filled with 500 volumes of invisible items)
- Go to chest B, quick deposit key
- Go to chest A, use take all key
- Go to chest B, quick deposit key
- ... etc ... do it untill chest A is empty of the invisible materials, then start loop again

Here's how I'm doing it to dupe 4 different stacks of component + 50k solari per "batch" of duping.

Have 5 chest ready with each "case" of the chest used by the component that will be in it.

Why am I doing this ? I've noticed that sometimes, your duped items don't go in the chest even if the game states so. And when this happens, you don't see the duped items anymore BUT they still use space in your inventory... I don't know how I've managed to solve this issue when it happened, so I prefer to "secure" this part.
Another thing, when your chest is close to being full, make another one if you want to dupe the same component. I've noticed that duped items also sometimes are bugged and invisible if you don't manage to put the whole stack of duped items in the chest.
Example: chest is almost full, there's room for 30V but my duped items stack is 50V. Before beginning the new dupe loop, I create a new chest, prepare it (fill each cases), and it'll be the one used to store the new duped items.
3rd thing, "monitor" the chests, I check them regularly like every 5 or 10 loops, to see where I'm at and also because sometimes, some cases fusion together, so not all 100 are occupied, so I just split some to always have all 100 occupied.

Now for the loop, here's how I do it and it's extremly fast:
Preparation
- have the 5 chests ready as stated above
- have the 5 stack of whatever you want in your inventory (I always have 1 stack of 50k solaries, 1 stack of any heavy components, 3 stacks of others non-heavy components, I try to have maximum weight which is ~172V of components)
- have your thopter close, I have the thotper in front of me, and the 5 chests just behind me

The loop
(1st loop)
- open thotpter inventory
- cut connection (any method, but I'm using the AutoHotkey shared here, because it's extremly fast by just pressing 1 key)
- press E on each stack so they transfer from your inventory to the thopter inventory
- press E on each stack in the thopter inventory (you'll notice they don't transfer)
- split each stack (right click each stack)
- resume connection (you'll notice half stack stay in thopter, other half in your inventory)
- close thopter inventory
- pick up the thopter
- put back the thopter
- fill the 5 chests by pressing F on each
- open the thopter inventory
- get the 5 stacks (you'll notice they're the same size as the starting size, not the split size)
(2nd loop)
- cut connection
- press E on each stack
- etc...

As you see, you don't need any 2nd chests, you don't need to put in any chests the stacks from the thopter at the end of the loop, "securing" the 1st duped stacks is enough.

From what I understand, the duped items are the stacks you get when you resume the connection. Picking up & puting back the thopter seems to "unlink" the duped items and the items in the thopter inventory, so each stack is now it's "own stack".
Putting the duped items in the chests seems to "secure" the duped items. You'll notice that when you do it, if you open your inventory, you may see that you're still full weight and sometimes you may still see stacks in your inventory.
This seems to be the stacks that are in your thopter. Because after depositing the duped stacks, when you open the thopter inventory to get back what's in the thopter and start a new loop, you'll notice the weight is dropping back as if you had nothing in backpack, backpack is empty, and you can just take back what's in the thopter.

Doing it this way, each loop lasts less than 1 minute, it's extremly fast.
All the duped components are usable for crafting, I've checked it to be sure.

If you follow everything I've said, you should never have any "bugged" duped items that are invisible and that take volume.

If you want to dupe components that you really have a small amount of, I do it this way.
As an example, I had like 7 precision ranged finder:
- put 1 in a chest, 6 in inventory
- do the loop, you'll have 7 in chest, 6 in inventory
- before starting the new loop, leave 1 in chest, get 6 from chest, which means 12 in inventory
- do the loop, that'll be 13 in chests, 12 in inventory
- before starting the new loop, leave 1 in chest, get 12 from chest, which means 24 in inventory
- etc...
Doing it that way, you'll never completly fill the only stack that is in the chest and you'll be to a 500 stack very quick.
As soon as I have 100+ in the chest, I split them to fill every 100 space, then I continue the loop until I can dupe stacks of 500, and then just fully fill the chest.

Note that splitting the same stack is useless, because it just sets it back to 1 stack.
Eg. if you have 1 stack of 500, split it 4 times in the thopter inventory, it'll still count as if you've only duped 1 stack of 500, so it's useless to split more than once.

I didn't try to split multiple stacks of the same items. I mean, having 2 stacks of the same items, split each stack once, and see if you've 2 duped stacks or 1 duped stack.
This is worth trying if you want to massively dupe one item only, like spices which you can have 800+ in inventory, so 1 stack of 500 & 1 stack of 300+. Maybe you could dupe 800 by 800, which means you could dupe 800+ spice and also dupe 3x50k solari as solari has no weight.

It seems that I only can make it work some times. And it never works for me wil more than 1 kind of resource at a time when it actually works

I've duped Duralumun, but my fabricator will not fabricate Assault Ornithopter pieces. It will queue up, but nothing happens. I've confirmed it's any item that uses the duped Duralumun.

Try shutting the game down and starting it back up. Also, it's also possible you might have a bugged inventory somewhere, so I would break the box that your Dura is in and put it all into a new box

You might have inviz items in it still from the connection not being fully cut before starting stuff, or any mess-ups. best to drop everything on the ground and put in new containers when that happens. Including dying and only clicking to pick stuff up from the death bag, not pressing take all.
