It shouldn't slow you down. What you may notice is that whenever there is a ban wave, the scripts and everything else that darkorbit is using to try to catch the botters is directly affecting everyone playing the game, not just bot / script users, but all players. And, unfortunately, with what you said about your internet and graphics card, you are already dealing with problems, as you already know.

I have found that changing my settings in the game by turning everything to low or none eliminates or at least reduces the lag. Hopefully, this is helpful.

1.WickedPatcher isn't slowing your game performance and it shouldn't slow down your internet connection too. If you have an weak DSL connection isn't WP's fault. better don't play darkorbit.

For me WP also makes internet slow and not always load webpages. If I trun it off work nice

eng: i use WP since its comed up.. depending of scritps you using it will lag the game.. eg: refienment
antistealth, lokator, autolock, autocollect does not slow dows the game

ro: roscatel poti sami dai un tutorial *** sa folosesc vacuumul? nu intra in joc cand il pun in WP

really don't understand. no one of my friends which are using WP doesn't report me this problem. Even when I play on wireless I don't have any problem :/

again, never had lag when using WP. and no, i made already a tutorial, a mouvie too, that WP works as other configured WP, if other scripts works, that one must work too.

I use WP for a long time and it never slow down my Internet connection

probably at that time they have P2P programs

*LOL* did you not just ask in other forums how and where to find these scripts and how to use them. *LOL* autocollect does not even work without config file. I can not get it to work and have the source for it.

So if you know they changed which they have not changed again in at least six months. Only md5 and client version has changed.
Also if you know this then why not just decompile the flash map and do it yourself.

Actually just an FYI. Monitoring data to and from DO and a comparison FPM in do game using wp was faster. I am thinking you guys are not setting wp correctly wp is very complicated programing IDE, network monitor, packet inspector plus if you look at it even more closely there are things like retries, delay number of altered packets and how often. Man... this is the last time for me.
Been using a very long time and never one problem ever.
WP, can be set to run a total of nine scripts at once. But if you do not understand how to do anything other than click on an xml file and click okay then you are going to have a real bad time of things.
