gems are compleatly random and dont matter where you place your guy
i tend to mine in ac 24.7
i found out floors dont matter neither does location first floor i minned for about a month and got like 1-3 gems a day on avg with just 1 char in the same spot
notein the char is only a lvl 85 archer with no equip so i got tired of the rock monsters killing him so i took him down 3 lvls to the bottom floor
went to the cornor area minned got the same ammount of gems and even got 2 super moon gems within 3 days
i move my char randomly through out the day dont matter where i still get around the same ammount of gems
this morning i minned 5 gems 3 moon 2 violet the first 4 within 3-6 hours i dunno not sure how long
last one i just jumped minned befor i scrolled to ac and bam got another
my compleat theory of how gems are givein out is
1. ok say you are in word and have something that looks simaler to this
that x would get a gem if someone was mining there at the time the server decided to make that the gem spot for like?1-5 seconds then move to another spot or pause befor reapearing somewhere
im not sure if anyone else has thought of this but well my theory and i guess thats what i think

DB theory 12/26/2008 - CO2 Programming - 3 Replies Hey all, wasnt sure where to post this but, someting I noticed when I put an old multiclient in was the price of dbs in mall changed from the current 215 to the old 220. That was after I put the old itemtype file in. So that tells me that the price of dbs for the mall are determined in intemtype.dat. Problem is, what part of it is in? and how can we manipulate it. I've looked at it with hex editor but to no avail. Maybe someone here is better at hex editing then I am.
