[Question] General Data Subtype 310
Question:
Hey everyone!
I've figured most* (not all) of the General Data Subtypes; however, this one is confusing me to high hell. I'm not sure what it does. I did tests on 310 but with no luck in finding out anything.
I've tried the following combinations as tests:
0 0 0 0 0 310
1 0 0 0 0 310
2 0 0 0 0 310
1 2 0 0 0 310
1 2 3 4 5 310
Any ideas on what this might control?
Thanks in advance!
Sincerely,
Fang

Well helps if you explain more...
Eg: when does it occur, what values does it have.. Client>Server or Server>Client? etc

Client > Server
I've been testing using commands that send client information to the server.
I edited the post above to show what I've tried. I even tried using the character uid but that's only for attack packet subtypes so obviously that did nothing either.
It just shows it's face once and a while on my server's GUI for a reason I can't explain. It looks random but there has to be a pattern behind it.

So it doesn't show up in response to anything you do client side? what are the default values the client sends for it?
Is it something that happens when there is inactivity cause it could be to do with away/afk msg...
If it's not relating to something you are doing then there is no point coding it... The client sends LOTS of random stuff, 99 pct of which you will never need to care about.

It just happened and I wasn't afk. I was standing in Birth Village doing nothing at 23:13, lol. I wonder if it could be something like a bot checker. The AFK Timer is coded already so it's not that... any further ideas?

Which client is it, thats a good place to start. 310 is not a subtype that has been used in the general data packet untill the last 6/12 months or so, so you have to assume its a feature added by TQ within that time frame, so go through the lists of features which could possibly trigger it.
I doubt its a botcheck because the server makes the requests for them. My guess is the (Away) feature. Really you need to get a packet log from real CO if the client initiates something you have no idea about.

Well it's not the away feature... I already coded that a few weeks ago. 310 seems to happen once every hour, randomly. Any other ideas to what it might do Korvacs?

I can't run the server atm, I'm coding at my parent's house. When I get home, I'll run the server and do a breakpoint test. I'll make a second post here when I get it done (so excuse my double post if there will be one).

5065 General Data Packet
07/08/2010 - CO2 Private Server - 8 Replies
Well I'm currently upgrading Hybrid's to 5065.
I successfully got it logged into a 5065 client, updated the characterinfo packet, iteminfo packet, and now I'm working on GeneralData packet.
I'm trying to turn this dump into a structure.
18 00 F2 03 8E A0 49 00 F2 D4 4C 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 4A 00 54 51 43 6C 69 65 6E 74
As much as Nullable taught me about dumps, all I got from that is
0x18 = 24, which is the length.
0x3F2 = 1010, which is the packet id.
It's the rest...

This is just a tiny release with the correct sub-types for the General Data .
This will be a part of the things I will be dumping after I formatted my PC without being prepared. I'm sorry for all other info I still had on the CO2 PServer development, it is not available for my any more. I was going to release it all though, but not just yet.

General PC Question
12/31/2008 - Dekaron - 2 Replies
I was snooping around with the history.config and launcher.config files, trying to view them. I right clicked, hit open with, and chose notepad. However, I made the stupid mistake of not un-checking the "always open this file with this program" button, so now 2moons won't read them since they're wordpad files. I am currently running Windows XP. How do I put them back to the correct file format?
