A way to edit map files?
I was wondering if there was a way to edit the map files?
as in, make new maps and everything like that.

Afaik not possible.
That requires a .dmap file for the map, and its not possible to make one.

Anyone who wants to get started right away can checkout the code with SVN: (You need an account at )

Heads up, the project has been passed on to some other developer(s).. So this isn't the latest version.. However it works.

You're out of luck.. The images were removed by photobucket.. The only image I can provide is of a a new function added to the program to determine the cords which is on a map..(quite pointless).

Small update. I've added basic support for viewing coordinate data on top of the map. This is still slightly broken. The vertical offset varies somewhat, (or rather, my formula is broken). Will work it out eventually. Next up I'll try add some ability to click on coordinates to change their access data.

However you could open the map files I currently uploaded and open them in gimp. You'll need a dds plugin but that's nothing Google can't solve.

I've gotten permission (awhile back) from Sparkie my self to recruit users to this forum. They have no access to the CO2 section until he activates their accounts. Although my purpose of posting it wasn't for recruiting a soul.. I'll perceive you've gotten my point.

"Advertising your own forum hosted at a free-forum provider is not allowed."
From what I see, sparkie's using vbulliten so its not a freeforum provider so I'm going to assume that's ok.

01/22/2006 - Conquer Online 2 - 3 Replies
here it goes......
get a hex editor.... i found a simple one in downloads.com
after u install that program, open up the .dat file that u want to edit.
now press ctrl+ F and type in wat u want to change, when the program finds it for u, now look for the line that u want to change. after u got the line that u want to change, now to get wat u want to change?.......
well this is the most easiest way i could figure out the hex codes.....
