this thread just gives me a real headache! i have no background in programming but is eager to learn.

up to this moment, i haven't unpacked cabalmain.exe though i have followed and finished tuts for noobs about serial fishing, serial generation, unpacking, dumping, rebuilding IAT, etc etc. deym!

the good part is that, i have learned something eventhough i did not hit my goal... yet...

at least i learned how to crack simple progs. anyway, i love headaches! still trying to figure out whats going on with cabal and in the process maybe get this thing too!... and it gets patched after a week.

well, this thread is meant to be educational so let's all get educated!

No one is bragging about achievents. If you are not willing to TRY, then you are the one that should step out. Asking a step by step process is also LEECHING. every tip written here is enough to figure it out FROM ZERO. its just a matter of patience + common sense.

If you are here to whine simply because you cant follow instructions, then you dont deserve to get it. I entertain questions WHICH IS NOT ANSWERED yet, however, I'm rude to people who cant read and analyze and keeps on asking things over and over again.

I used CR to dissable GG then attach CabalMain.exe in the process it paused in m0dule ntdll and Cabal hangs, what should I do with this? Sorry for being NOOB.

this really requires lots of reading/viewing of cracking tuts and a wide understanding. for me who does not have programming skills, just reading through tech terms is a headache. patience is a virtue as they say.
since it is established that cabal is packed and protected, what exactly is the packer/protection? i understand this have been asked before but i don't think it was answered. comments please? i have tried to use JIT debugger and wondered where the codes go. hehehe... could anyone clear my mind?

I believe u have to unpack the exe first, am i wrong? still trying to unpack though.
can somebody tell me what the cabalmain.exe packer is? as to my knowledge, every packer has different way of reversing and unpacking. tried to check it with peid but it gave me themida/winlicense. is this correct?

its nice to learn from u guyz.. i have same problem with spideys i stopped there and cabal hangs... from there onward idk what to do... some people are misleading us thats why infos we had gathered gave us a headache... once and for all pls tell us is ollydbg+ollydump are only the tools use to unpack?? and after we get the oep what should we do?? any wisdom? though im a noob at this, but i really want to learn.. not just for cabal but for future games il be playing with.. can anyone give me an accurate data??

first of all, im pretty sure you are running cabalmain.exe which is still packed.
secondly, cabal doesnt hang as you attach to its process, it is PAUSED.
lastly, using plugins are useless if you dont know WHAT THEY DO.

protip1: each different plugin performs different tasked that they are programmed to do. meaning, using a plugin WITH NO RELATION to what you are trying to do is simply USELESS.

@hackers who made this hack work: heres something new for us guys:

I made the old "*** mode" work. meaning, stacking bracelets/earrings with no negative stacks. (defense hack / 30k alz drop (max for Cabalph) et. al.)

heres how:
1. Simply do the old process of stacking, it will DC.
2. Perform the cracking of the exe.
3. Voila, stacking *** mode works.

Why does this happen:
I found out that there isnt only one trigger for DC. certain actions have certain DC flags, THEY ARE NOT ON THE SAME TRIGGER. which gives me the idea that it "MAY" be possible to the accessory hack that was posted on the other page. I will reply here after I verify that.

EDIT: what is *** mode? *** mode is the previous version of the damage/2 slot item hack, in which has no negative effect (like getting 1 alz or reducing defense value to negative when using Earring of guard, thus getting one shotted even by garlies)

wOOOOOOOOOOOOOw... and now im very determined to do this... but even unpacking the cabal exe file gives me a headache =(.... ****, hope someone could give me a hand with this problem (i know no one will) i just cant get pass with the unpacking stage... but i wont surrender, the more dificult the problem arise the more im eager to learn... but still,

well okay, seriously I dont want to be rude to others who are giving TIPS, but oh well. here goes: Im shedding some light to you:

first of all, WHY THE FCK WOULD YOU NEED HIDEOLLY/PHANTOM?

-no, seriously you dont need that.

You will need that so that GameGuard wont detect that you are attaching ollydbg to Cabal.

But how the fck will you STACK WITHOUT BYPASSING GG? so thats why YOU DONT NEED IT. what you need is a working bypass to enable both OLLYDBG and Cheat Engine. (preferrably CabalRider)

A working bypass is ENOUGH to let olly and CE attach themselves to cabal.

If you guys dont get what I mean, then you seriously need to stop working on this.

I dont know if the guys who posted that are trying to let you FIND OUT that you dont actually need this, to see your observation skills, or hes just fckng around with you. but hey, you should be thankful to them anyway. Because although the information is a bit misleading, it still gives me the idea on how to make this work.

thank you for this... ill be starting to 0 again.. but thanks for the enlightenment... as what i've undrstand as we attach olly to cabal it hangs (but in fact it just paused) so we can see what happened.. hope im correct il be starting with this.. thanks gopotato for the hints...

by the way.. is opening the file cabal .exe and finding the oep=unpack??? whats the difference between a pack and a unpack pls shed some light
