weve got all the info we need thanks to gopotato.... now on learning how to unpack cabal.exe the correct way... i just end up on same process.. maybe my unpacking method at the first place is wrong, thats why even if i have lots of info, i still cant make it to work

we do appreciate the help that you are giving us gopotato, although there are some that are selfish and still try to keep the truth away from the people that tries so hard to learn from this thread. we know that you guys are experts in this field, heck some of you might have been doing these kind of things for a long time. i just wanted to voice out our side who does not, or have little knowledge in reversing. we were like you guys before, eager to learn and apply the new found knowledge given to us by people that are willing to give us a helping hand.

not everything in your post is true.
for one, we're not hiding the truth for anyone. however, none of us is gonna make this public (as in giving a download link)
in other words, no spoonfeeding. almost everything you need is already in this thread. the only things that are missing is some determination from your side and some knowledge in ASM (which you can learn in a few days)

Can i ask what program to use to unpack cabal.exe ?? is that really yoda's Crypter 1.3 or Lord PE or just Ollydbg . can anyone tell me so that i can do the 1st step by unpacking it first =) thanks a lot. i just need to know what program to use for unpacking it.. thanks a lot again..

I think you have to fix each pointer one by one, I'm not sure though if it's needed and how it is done..

what olly plugins will i use to get the orignal entry point! i tried using Odbgscript to get
the OEP but the results dont give the OEP. can anyone give tips? unpacking here becomes the difficult part! T_T

just one question,,what if i successfully unpack the cabalmain.exe, whats the next thing to do? or just run the unpack version then run ce is that it? will it fix the dc thing?

Would be better to ban advertising servers in this section since 90% of people moved over to binarys anyway, theres barely any source code released because everyone either uses LOFT or the binarys, neither of which really need code (LOFT needs a complete rewrite but nothing really specific)
