Sometimes it does wonder - reboot your computer - start Abyss and the game. (delete before all files in GG again)

�� • The file for me is called "hosts", and not "hosts.dat".
Could it be you're editing the wrong file ?

• Now about the path, I had the same problem and solved it this way :

Personally, I had to set the documents directory for abyss to :"htdocs/" without the quotes of course.
Nothing else. It seems it won't work if you write precisely htdocs\gameguard\nprotect etc...

One last note : your file looks like a french one. If you want, since I'm also french, you could PM me so we try to solve this problem in our mothertongue.

It's the same file, .dat is the extend.
I try another reboot by setting the htdocs folder as you said.

I'm using windows xp SP2, and for me, when I say that my file is called "hosts", I mean its called "hosts" ONLY.
It has no extend. (I have no idea why, but it's just hosts and not hosts.anything.)

One more thing :
Try, using your web browser, going to "gameguard.cabalonline.com".
It should redirect you to the abyss web page, and not the cabalonline thingy stuff.

My "hosts" file is without extend too, and i use windows SP2 too, but i had the extend before
I think the problem is here. I launch abyss, and i type the adress in my web browser and... :

In order to see this page, I have to edit my hosts and remove the last line.
It seems that the problem comes from this file. It may sound stupid, but is your windows installed in the "windows" folder ?
I have an old hard drive disk that saw many installations of windows, and my own windows is called "WIN.003", and the .exe file edits the "WINDOWS" directory instead of the WIN.003.

Well... I guess you would have noticed :-|

I'm gonna try to have the same error as you to see if I can do anything about it .

My hosts file is in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
I'll try to change the last line and i'll post if i find an issue :/

hmm mal ne frage, weiss jemand wieso mein Pc dabei nun nen neustart macht O.o
hab heute Winxp neu drauf gehauen, gestern klappte das noch, aber da das drecks win mal wieder platt war musste es neu drauf >_>

soo ich starte alles wie immer, kam bisher nur bis Login, passwort eingegeben auf Login und zack, Pc neustart -.- und nu komm ich netmal mehr dahin, cabal startet und zack pc macht nen neustart.

weiss jemand was das soll x.x ich hasse Xp -.- nur stress mit dem scheiss...

ProjectX ist ein Cheat Engine um Values im Game zu verändern. Damit hackt man solches Zeug wie Attack Range, Movement Speed,...

Ist auch die alte Version von GG aktiv? Oder klappt das bei dir gar nicht mit Abyss?
Mhm naja eigentlich hat ein PC Neustart nichts großartig dann damit zutun. Neuste Treiber installiert? Guck mal im Geräte Manager. Letztendlich kann das an sovielen verschiedenen Dingen liegen...

hmm also ich kann ProjectX ohne das program zum verstecken benutzen, habe die nacht damit durch geskillt(afk^^) und kein einzigesmal kam sowas wie nen error oderso^^

ich glaube, das program überlastet irgendwie mein win so das es abstürzt...

Da müsste man schon die Files von der ganz alten GG Version haben... weil der Bypass von mr.rattelz ist ja recht alt.

Außerdem sind das keine Hacks für NA, das sind Bots geschrieben in AutoIT. AutoIT kannst du nur benutzen, wenn der GameGuard komplett deaktiviert wird.

Even if you hide some programs with this rootkit GG still "know" it´s active... like Cheat Engine 5.4
