Uthar got two questions for you.

1. Is the new text captcha the reason I got this error (I am using 2.35.01)?

2. What is the proper way to upgrade the bot to a new version? I would like to keep my settings if possible.

1) You are missing a folder. If you create a folder called "Response" it will work fine again.
Also the ***_CAPTCHA.txt files are only created when you have turned on the option "Output All mode". This option is only needed when I need some extra information to solve bugs. So you can turn off this option.

2) You can copy the "Config" folder of the old version to the new version.

Actually the "Response" folder is already there. I have all the other response files going to it ok. Haven't had a problem with it until I saw this error pop up.

Oh and I didn't mention this in the original post. I got that error the debug.txt file. I also got the following in the log.txt file:

But the strange thing is those two files we're located one folder level up from my grepolis bot folder. Not located in the grepolis bot folder where they normally are. So my grepolis bot folder is "d:\games\grepolis bot 2\", but the log.txt and debug.txt files were created in "d:\games\" when I got that error.

That's strange, I'll try to reproduce it and see if I can fix it. For the time being you should turn off "Output all mode".

Oh yeah I know it's not an error. I was under the assumption the captcha solver was having a problem. But I just read it is for donators only. My bad there. If it is for donators only shouldn't it be disabled in the standard version?

Have another quick question about the captcha. If I have the captcha solver enabled and it is just pausing the bot until the captcha gets solved in the browser, is there any need to have the captcha alarm on? In essence if I turn off the alarm will the bot still pause on a captcha?

The captcha detection is enabled for everyone. For donators the captcha's are however solved automatic. The captcha solver is disabled automatic if you are not a donator.

You can turn off the sound alarm if you want. The bot will still pause when it detects a captcha.

I have had a couple problems since the 2.37.02 update:

• (intermittent) Unable to click on objects in the browser, even after multiple refreshes. For example:
  • I will click on say the report button, and the report window opens
  • Then click on a report, and a report opens
  • Then click on the publication button, and nothing happens
• (constant) The login button doesn't log in all the way. For example:
  • After pressing the login button it brings up the login page in the browser.
  • Then I must log in via the browser and the login process will begin (i.e. I see connecting )
  • Another problem related to this is the reconnect does not work. Only bring browser window back to login page

The unable to click on objects in browser problem had occurred in the 2.37.01 version, but was very rare. And always was fixed with a single refresh.

I haven't changed many of the setting very dramatically, because I am worried about getting banned. So I'm not sure if changing them in a large way would help or not. I originally started with default settings and encountered the same problems. Then I changed to see if it would help.

My advanced settings are:
Min. Refresh Timer -2
Max. Refresh Timer -7
Delay Requests -1824
Min. Delay Farmers -1782
Max. Delay Farmers -3461
Farmer loot lag -34
Timeout -30
----
Turn off bot by scheduler -checked
Auto Start -un-checked

You can test this version if you want. So far it works fine for me on the 2.38 server.

The clicking issue has been there since the first release of the bot. I have applied all the improvements I could think of but so far I'm not able to solve it completely.

The login and reconnect issue is the same problem. For some reason your bot is not able to fill in the login form.
Do you have by any chance a very old version of IE or did you forget to run the Enable_IE9.reg file?

The clicking issue is a problem with the browser and is not related to the bot settings. You can chance any setting of the bot you want without influencing the browser.
