No.. thats just nasty. You will have issues with that method lol, sockets are simple to use and you will have to use them anyway if your using HTTP.
Only use http for stats maybe or checking for updates.

Yea it seems totally messy... cuz it kinda is. But I know nothing about sockets and have a free resource already written for using HTTP so that's what I use right now.
Honestly tho, just like everything else I've learned, it would probably only take me a few days to figure it out. I'm just bogged down with too much already. Ideas are my strong suit right now LOL. Just trying to grab em and pack em in the back of my mind for later

Sounds interesting I understand sockets and ports I have had my fun playing around with TCP and udp sending, receiving, listening, and establishing connections from one port to another and successfully sending packets threw sockets. The thing to remember is to open and close your sockets as you transfer packets can get messy with a bunch of sockets left open. Play around with it get a processes PID and port and ping it using different sockets from you side that will get you started playing with them. Run the CMD prompt and type nestat -o that will give you a list of all established connections and there PID you will have to look in the task manager to find out what PID goes with what process. But ya have fun and play around with ports and sockets I find the way better then HTTP. Oh and playing around with ports, sockets, and a combination of HTTP I have managed to make a beta bot for myself the is 85% reliant on the INTERNET so its almost 100% clouded on my system its like its floating there 85% does not register itself anywhere in my memory. Kinda of neat makes me wonder how far I can take it and what I can bypass using this method.

You shouldnt need to close sockets if they are for a bot.. it should be a constant connection to the bot servers or other bots unless it is just looking for updates. or something.

Yes for a established connection it should remain open till you close the Bot then you still need to close the socket. I am not sure about you but I don't want to keep opening sockets on my computer and leaving them open thats why I had said get in a habit of closing them when you are done sending packets like after a update check or after you close the bot so on its just for added security for your own computer.

Well yes of course you close the sockets after they are needed... But what I mean is you don't need to open and close it for each lot of data if it needs to be streaming data to a server or something. which you said yes to anyway  .
Besides opening sockets to connect to things is fine in terms of security the only things people could possibly do is if they are some how doing a man in the middle attack modify or sniff data between the connection. Which for a bot who cares... its not like its sending bank data :P. At least its fine as far as I know lol.

Ive typed this contless times, NO VAC has been been patched server side. IT can no longer be done.
If someone figures out the 8 bytes at the start of packets from client to server and how to generate them then maybe something can be done about it.
But it wouldn't be a vac as such it would be a reverse vac.

Ok I get it now.
If I ever figure out how to make a neural network it could be used on a server to teach client bots things learned from other clients. For example if the bot hasn't been programmed to walk through a certain map when released, this information would be built every time someone walks through the map. Server storing places you can walk (places that have been walked) and places you cant (places that havn't been walked). With this information it could find the shortest/best route from point A to point B.
of course this isn't really neccessary since you can just tele where you want to be. It would be more of a learning experience.
In reality the only thing I will use sockets for is validation and communication between bots. A server acting as the translator. Of course you could communicate between two bots on one machine by just sending info back and forth, or sharing an ini file or something.

thanks jjjcr  , i really think all the people who make stuff should just team up and make the best stuff for every game and make money from it lol.
Would be halirious to make a team and own up every game we can  .
