Did you add the ports into your router settings?

So I'm guessing you have the server up and running? And for a limited time. I will help people set up their servers. Just PM me your skype name, I'll add you and help you through team viewer.

some people should actually use these files instead of trying to use mine lol ... mine do have a lot of mistakes in them and its just generally better to start with something more basic ... adding things will be a lot easier that way

I agree idle. People if your going to make a server, Try to do it legit. You get no where but in trouble when you try to take from others. There is no point in developing a server if you can't make or edit things your self. We have to grow as a community if Zero is ever going to go any further.

lol you have to get it online somewhat to use it on your pc ....
if you just open it the way it was released then use 127.0.0.1 in your client with the same server name then it will connect for a completely local server on your pc
according to your configurations though (assuming that the gameserver ip same one you used for the accserver) you should use 192.168.1.2 (gameserver ip)according to your picture as the ip in worlds.dat
also might wanna open those ports in your firewall if u plan on connecting with ur lan ip instead of your loopback ip as you have it configured
but like i said check your connections with netstat and your error logs to show where it is having a problem

your accserver and gameserver ips should be the same either one 127.0.0.1 or the other 192.168.2.1 or your external ip not a mixture of the whole lot lol and u have to allow that port in your firewall (not router for local but definately firewall for some of the settings)
and "check your ports with nestat"if it doesnt work one way try the other ...
specificly netstat -ano in your comand prompt ... to see which connection is having trouble
Im guessing your accountserver on port 9958 is where it stops because you have login and just not able to connect from the outside ....
would probably show in your comand line like established to 9865 estabilished then closed on 9958 and listening on 5816 with no connections
because port 5816 is listening in a different place in your configs it seems than the accserver ip
also check your error logs my guess is you will have one that says hwc failed ... which means just that hardware check failed lol ... which means it cant connect to the outside hardware but it can connect to itself ...

the log you want to look in is tpl log in the accserver log folder
a successful connection in this log file will look like this
hwc passed
tpl database connect succeed
account database connect succeed
your image of netstat shows only the gameserver listening ports not the accountserver listen ports
which is what has the problem ....
you notice the only ports you showed your system listening on are 9865 3306 and 5816 .... it should be listening on 8563 and 9958 at least locally
8653 is the port that connects your gameserver to the npc server (usually locally) and 9958 is the port that connects your accountserver to the gameserver (usually locally)
the error you showed is for a portion of your gameserver files that are not attached to any database in your config files .... namely the dump attack settings which are kinda important if u dont want a rollback when your server loses connection
these sorts of errors from mysql are easy to debug because they speak english,....
says right in the error what the problem with that one is ... that you didnt select a database or pointed it to one that isnt there.
this has nothing to do with your connection issue though so is not relevant to this discussion
also noting your other posts ... you keep pushing outdated threads for people who tried to cause a problem with my server and then asking me for help with "your" server ....
where exactly is the incentive for me to help you?
stop doing that if you want continued help from me
pushing the thanks button for the help I have given u thus far would be a good gesture as well

so how do i make the ports listen .. i have no idea why post 9958 and 8563 or 9958 and 8563 can be change to the posts that are ok (9865 3306 and 5816)

hwc failed. -- Thu Nov 14 13:38:38 2013
read up and look at what i said if you get this error
one of your ips in one of your config files is different from the others ...
my guess is its the "mapped ip address=" in getconfig
also looks like you have a database permissons error

Pretty self-explanatory. USA should be selected in the white box to the left, then, your NA server in the second box, then the number of the character in the third.
