These quests reward as much experience as a normal quest in Dragonflight and scale with your level all the way up to level 70! They can be turned in Stormwind (Alliance) and Orgrimmar (Horde). Prepare these quests and wait for the Dragonflight launch to turn them in. To check if you’ve done the quests type/copy the given macro into the chat. “True” means that you’ve done the quest. “False” means that you can still do it.

What We’ve Been Training For
This is an account-wide pet battle quest. You can do this quest weekly on either Alliance or Horde. If you don’t see this quest on your faction it’s recommended to check the NPC of the opposite faction. If this still doesn’t work create a level 1 character in the Human starting zone and the Orc starting zone. Check for both of the NPC’s again. Alternatively you can create 2 Exile’s Reach characters, 1 Horde and 1 Alliance, and type this macro into the chat:
/run C_Tutorial.AbandonTutorialArea()
Then accept the first quest on the boat. You should get teleported to Stormwind (Alliance) or Orgrimmar (Horde) and check the NPC’s again.
If all of this failed you can check the NPC’s on any character you have left.

Addons & Macros
- - This AddOn can be helpful if you want to delete a bunch of items very fast. But it is also very dangerous because you can accidentally delete something.
- - It can speed up looting, make your World Map movable or automate a lot of things like repairing your gear. The AddOn also has some things that you probably won’t need so if you need only some of the functionality you can find some alternatives down below that only do some of the things.
- - You can pretty much do everything you want with WeakAuras. There are already a lot of public WeakAuras on Wago.io. You can find some useful ones in the WeakAuras section below.
- - This AddOn enhances your macros and is mostly used for extending the character limit beyond 255.
- - It binds every option of an NPC to the numbers 0-9 but only when you’re currently talking to one. It makes it very easy to select gossip options quickly.
- - Sometimes you get bags that you have to open before you can do a quest. This AddOn will automatically open everything that can be opened. Can also be dangerous if you have containers that you don’t want to open.
- - This is an alternative to LeatrixPlus if you only want to speed up your looting by a significant amount. As you have to loot a loot while leveling this is a huge gain in leveling time.
- - This AddOn alone won’t do much but there are a lot of useful plugins available. The most useful ones are HandyNotes: Draenor and HandyNotes: Old World Treasures because in the 10-60 leveling guides you will quest in old zones and some Draenor zones and the local treasures give a lot of experience. For Dragonflight the plugin HandyNotes: Dragonflight is very handy because it tracks your Dragon Glyph progress and shows you their locations.
- - This is the best AddOn for treasures and rares in older zones. The 10-60 leveling guides is somewhat dependent on a lot of rares and with this AddOn you will be notified immediately if a rare is somewhere around you.
- - In the other sections of this guide you will sometimes find coordinates of some POIs. With TomTom you can easily find the given coordinates in game on the World Map. It also shows you current location.
- - With OPie you can bind pretty much everything to a ring and therefore extend your maximum number of bindings quite a bit. It’s recommended to bind hearthstones, banners or teleportation items/macros.

Turn in ‘Instant Turn In’ quests: This macro will turn in every completed quest that you can turn in from everywhere. Be careful not to use it before launch.

Game Mechanics
CLEVER USE OF GAME MECHANICS
Pinchwhistle “Nitro Fuel + Cooking Fire
This is used to kill your character. While standing on top of a campfire use the Pinchwhistle “Nitro Fuel”. You have to do this twice because one use only deals 80% of your HP in damage.
How to use more than one Cracked Radinax Control Gem?
This is a unique item which means you can only have one of them in your inventory. BUT you can have as many as you want in your mailbox. So just send them to one of your characters every time you loot one. You can also store them in a guild bank.
Goblin Glider + Falling Flame
Both of these items are very helpful on their own. But when you jump down, use a Goblin Glider and then the Falling Flame, you can fly over a whole zone.
RP-Walk for ‘Forced-Movement’
Normally you can’t stop when using Gunshoes, Tuft of Yak Fur or Oddly-Shaped Horn, but you can activate RP-Walk. This caps your Movement Speed at 35%. Using this trick you can use these items for picking up quests or doing other things that would normally not be possible because you would be too fast.
Cracked Radinax Control Gem for Caves
If you need to delve deep into a cave you can use a Control Gem in front of the cave and drive in with it. Although you can’t use it inside the cave you won’t get dismounted when you enter the cave with it.
Tuft of Yak Fur and Oddly-Shaped Horn Restorations
You can use the Item Restoration Service to restore them every 7 days to accumulate them before dragonflight, then on launch you can pick them up alongside your cracked radinax control gems in your Mailbox.
Saving Experience Buffs for Dragonflight
The WHEE! Experience Buff from the Darkmoon Faire Carousel or Rollercoaster does not run out while you are logged out and if the Darkmoon Faire ends it doesn’t disappear from your characters. It is possible to store the experience buff for the Dragonflight release to have an extra 10% Experience Gain from all sources.
This is true even for the Brewfest Experience Buff and the Hallow’s End Experience Buff but they only increase the experience gained from kills.
The only downside is that you can’t play the character for some time because you have to stay logged out.
The Darkmoon Top Hat gives a different kind of WHEE! Experience Buff and does not persist through logout as the buff disappears after the Darkmoon Faire ends. Don’t use it to store the experience buff, it does not work.
Best item for Speed Gems
The best item for Straddling Sage Agate and Straddling Viridium are low level boots with two sockets. You are able to get scaled loot from Magister Terrace and other Dungeons if you zone into the dungeon with the help from a friend or a 2nd Account with a level 44 character with Chromie Time enabled. The low level character will be able to trade their items to you.
Character Stuck Service
With the character stuck service you can port your character to Orgrimmar (Horde) or Stormwind (Alliance).
Not using Chromie Time
After the introduction of Chrome Time everyone used it to level up their characters. But as you can see on the World Map all zones also have their own level ranges outside of Chrome Time. You can level their without using Chromie Time. Most of the time you will encounter less players as nearly all players are using Chromie Time.

In Patch 9.2 Blizzard added a way to craft gear with an ilevel of 233 and with Speed (works everywhere) and Mount Speed (works only in Shadowlands zones). You can buy and sell the gear in the auction house. Normally you save this set as an equipment set and equip it whenever you want to maximize your travel time.

- Crafter’s Mark IV: Increases the ilevel to 233. Honored Reputation with The Enlightened is required to buy the recipe from Vilo in Zereth Mortis at 34.8, 64.2.
- A Profession corresponding with the armor type: Tailoring (Cloth), Leatherworking (Leather, Mail) or Blacksmithing (Plate) profession
- Certain profession skill level dependent on the slot to craft the blue gear with a base ilevel of 151:

Note: Often used in combination with a Goblin Glider.
How to obtain: This can only be done while the Darkmoon Faire is active. To get to the Fair talk to one of the Darkmoon Fair NPCs in Orgrimmar (Horde) or Stormwind (Alliance).Before you can even try to get the achievement you have to unlock the racing daily Welcome to the Darkmoon Races. You’ll probably need at least some of Darkmoon Faire Game Tokens that can be bought from these NPCs on the Darkmoon Faire.For the darkmoon cannon you need to use the big mecha guy.

Effect: You can get one of six gems.Note: The only useful gem for speed leveling is the Crackling Tourmaline. This item is very niche and should only be used when you really want to maximize your speed.

CD: 2 minute cooldown. Triggers a 1 minute cooldown for other combat potions.
Effect: Increases your movement speed by 150% in the open world.Note: Like most other Engineering devices this item can backfire and cause one of two effects:
Shoot upwards: Can be very useful in combination with a Goblin Glider. Use the Goblin Glider after you start falling down.
Rocket Fuel Leak: Deals 10% of your HP as damage every second for 8 seconds. Can be very lethal in some situations or extremely helpful when you want to kill your character.

Effect: When you use it you get a buff for 10 minutes that allows you to ‘walk’ on water. The raft starts at your base Movement Speed and gains up to 30% by just moving forward. You can increase the Movement Speed to up to 300% (+200%) by spamming Space.
Note: It’s an alternative to Gunshoes or other items that allow you to walk on water and can be faster than a mount. The requirements to use it are often too high for a new character to really make use of it but on an older character it is very helpful.
Source: You can buy it from the Island Expedition Vendor of your faction [A]/[H] for 300 Seafarer’s Dubloons in Stormshield/Warspear.
CD: None
Effect: Works almost exactly like the Anglers Fishing Raft. You also get a buff for 10 minutes and can surf on water. The board increases your Movement Speed to 160% at max speed. Pressing Space doesn’t make it go faster.
Note: The upside of this toy is that it has no prerequisites and can be used on a fresh character even if the character can’t mount. The downside is obviously that it is slower then the Fishing Raft
Source: Can be obtained by completing the Legion Class Hall Mission Glittering Treasure. All your champions are required to have an ilevel of 805+ in order for you to have a chance at seeing the mission.
CD: 30 minutes
Effect: Transforms you into a Makrura. While transformed you have unlimited breath, increased swim speed, are able to walk on the seabed and eat food while you are on the seabed.
Note: You can still use most utility spells like Movement Speed Buffs without losing the buff, but entering combat, taking damage or other combat related events break the effect.
Source: This item is a reward from the quest Back to the Chief.
CD: 5 Hours
Effect: Launches you ~150 yards upwards. Afterwards you receive a parachute for falling down safely. Can only be used in areas where you can fly.
Note: It was very useful in previous expansions where you could use it in areas where you couldn’t fly. You used to combine it with a Goblin Glider.
How to obtain: Back to the Chief is the last quest of the questline that starts with Help Mama Wheeler. If you can’t accept the first quest you need to complete the two quests Consortium Crystal Collection and Pick Your Part.

Effect: You need Enchanting Vellums in your inventory. The Necronom-i-nom consumes one Vellum per use and randomly gives you one of three buffs:
Increase your jump height by a substantial amount
Shrink
Transform into a skeleton with unlimited underwater breathing
Note: There are moments where the improved jump can save you a lot of time when you have to jump over a wall or over a mountain. You need something to push you forward like a Goblin Glider or Disengage as you jump straight up.
How to obtain: Looted from the treasure found on the third floor of the library at 42.29, 24.10. If you can fly you can just enter the tower from the top. Otherwise you need to complete the questline starting with Read Between the Lines at 40.6, 33.0 in Maldraxxus from Ta’eran.

Speed Gems: There are three important gems. The Straddling Viridium and the Straddling Sage Agate have a higher priority than the Straddling Jewel Doublet. The last one is only a minor Speed increase. The best setup would be: 1 Straddling Jewel Doublet and then 5 other Shadowlands Gems. UPDATE: After the change on the Dragonflight Beta the Straddling Viridium and Straddling Sage Agate are no longer worth using in most situations. They may still be useful in lower levels.

Source: Can be crafted or bought on the auction house. The recipe can be learned from the Jewelcrafting trainers in Dazar’alor and Boralus with a skill of 1.
Effect: +24 Speed
Straddling Sage Agate
Source: Can be crafted or bought on the auction house. The recipe can be learned from the Jewelcrafting trainers in Dazar’alor and Boralus with a skill of 155.
Effect: +16 Speed
Straddling Jewel Doublet
Source. Can be crafted or bought on the auction house. The recipe can be learned from the Jewelcrafting trainer in Oribos with a skill of 1.
Effect: Increases the Speed stat by 13 for each Shadowlands Gem socketed into your gear.
Speed Enchants for Cloak: Until your cloak has a higher ilvl than 60 you should use the ‘Gift of X’ enchants. Otherwise use the new Shadowlands enchant.

Source: Can be crafted or bought on the auction house. The recipe can be learned from the Enchanting trainer in Oribos with a skill of 25.
Effect: Increases Stamina by 20 and your Speed by 30.
Gift of Critical Strike, Gift of Haste, Gift of Mastery, Gift of Versatility
Source: The recipes are sold by the Enchanting vendors in Stormshield and Warspear or by your Enchanter in your garrison if you have built the Enchanter’s Study. Each recipe costs 1 Secret of Draenor Enchanting which you can craft daily for 3 Draenic Dust. To learn the recipe for the book just go to Warspear or Stormshield and buy and use Draenor Enchanting from the Enchanting Recipes npc where you can also buy the recipes for the speed enchants.
Effect: Increases a secondary stat by 2 and Movement Speed by 2%.
Note: Can only be applied to items with an ilevel of 60 or lower.
There are three guild banners that increase your experience gained from kills. All of them can be bought at any guild vendor of your faction. Every banner has a cooldown of 10 minutes, but when you use one, the other two will be on cooldown for 2 minutes.

How to obtain: Gained by riding on the carousel in the Darkmoon Fair. It always starts at the first Sunday of every month and is active for a week.

Cooldown: They all have a cooldown of 5 minutes. They share a cooldown with the Goblin Glider.
Effect: You can use the item to get a buff for 15 minutes. While falling you have to press Spacebar to open the Parasol. You can also use the item while falling but you have to account for a small delay.
