Ok I have no idea if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it anywhere, so I guess not.
Let me explain what happened. Last night, I went into DM West with some guildies and a stranger to get the 2 locks that were in the party their epic mounts.
Cleared all the Pylons, killed Immol'Thar, buffed up again and started the event like everyone would do. At some point, we died because none of us had done this before, so we corpe runned and went back in, but all the Dread Lords and Imps didn't despawn yet, so we were about to give up. We had 2 locks in the party, and there were 4 Dread Lords, so we wanted to give it one more try. Banish 2 of them, and enslave the other 2.
Once one one of them was banished and the other enslaved, they despawned all of a sudden, every single one, EXCEPT for the Dread Lord who was enslaved by one of the locks.
While keeping him enslaved, we tried to restart the event by placing that brazier that summons the goblin, but he said the event had already started. So we kinda thought it bugged and we couldn't continue anymore...Then we thought, lets un-enslave the remaining Dread Lord, kill it, and try again. As soon as that Dread Lord broke out of his enslave, he despawned...
So we tried summoning that goblin again, but again he said the event had already started....We were about to hearthstone out when the other warlock tried to summon the Dreadsteed just for fun...And it worked...
I'm not sure if this is repeatable, but here's what you gotta do:
1) Go into Dire Maul West, clear the 5 pylons with the elementals around it.
2) Go to the big middle section with Immol'Thar (That "The Beast" type of boss) and kill it.
3) Start the event like you are supposed to do, kill some goblins, make sure the healer and lock hitting the bell, candle and other thing stay alive so they can keep doing their job.
4) After a while a Dread Lord will spawn, enslave it, kill some imps.
5) More will spawn, offtank it, or if you have 2 locks, enslave or banish it.
6) If there are about 3 or 4 Dread Lords, die
7) Release and run, go back into the instance where Immol'Thar was, but dont go onto that circle yet!
Make sure the 2 locks are in range to banish 1 and enslave 1 of these Dread Lords, and let them do it
9) Move your way onto that circle, and everything should despawn / should already have been despawned
10) Wait till the banished and enslaved Dread Lords break free, they should despawn as well
11) Try to summon that goblin with the brazier you've bought
12) If he says the event has already started, you can now summon your Dreadsteed
13) Kill it, kill the other elite demon that spawns with it
14) Speak with Dreadsteed spirit, voilà, easily got your epic mount.
So the point of all this is to not having go trough ALL the waves of imps and Dread Lords that spawn.
