This is not an exploit at it's based but I'm using it to "exploit" the game so hey!

Here is a method to modify resources nods model so that you can see them easier. For example, I changed all herbs to a very shiny picture so that I can spot them very very easely and farm faster. Same thing could be done for mines, chests, anything basically.

1- Download MyWarcraftStudio at
2- Open MyWarcraftStudio(MWS) and go into the File menu, and choose Open MPQ archive
3- Browse to the Data folder inside your WoW directory and open model.mpq

We will take for example Firebloom herbs

4- Browse around to find the Firebloom model. You will find it under World/SkillActivated/TradeskillNodes/Bush_Firebloom.m2

As you can see, this is a m2 file. You can replace this by any other m2 file.

5- So, choose a model you want to replace the Firebloom with. Let's take a treasure chest as an example. You will find the treasure chest under World/SkillActivated/Containers/TreasureChest01.m2

6- Right click the treasure chest file and choose Extract File To... and save it on your desktop.

7. Now close MyWarcraftStudio

8. Open your WoW directory and browse to the Data folder.

9. Now create a directory tree that has the exact same path as your firebloom model. For our example, you will create a directree tree that would be : World/SkillActivated/TradeskillNodes/
Careful! It's case sensitive. The directory World is within your Data folder. So it would be:
Wow directory\Data\World\SkillActivated ...ect.

10. In the deepest folder (in our case, TradeskillNodes), copy the m2 file you saved on your desktop (the treasure chest file in our case).

11. Rename that copied file to the exact same name as the firebloom file (in out case, Bush_Firebloom.m2)

12. Restart WoW

13. Enjoy your firebloom that looks like chests! Obviously, if you know how to create mpq files, you could make your very own images and replace any mpq file with it!

ganz einfach er ändert mit mywarcraftstudio die ganzen herbs in pink oder was weiß ich doer thunderfury dann steht da überall thunderfury rum und is net zu übersehen. aber ich hab sowieso immer tracker an. is halt nur was, wenn man es satt hat auf grauem boden oder so irgend nen kraues kreutder dingens zu finden

Ist es irgendwie möglichd as gleiche mit Arkanitkristallen zu machen ? Wäre eine feine Sache :>

in mywarcraftstudios there is something he forgot to say:
you have to change :


und auf deutsch

zuerst das prog runterladen:
dann starten und auf file open mpq archive anklicken
in den WoW-data ordner gehen und model.mpq auswähle
anm. von mir. unten noch auf m2 umstellen, da is son teil wo man das einstellen kann, sonst sieht man nix!
dann ein beispiel nehmen..hier feuerblume
is unter


World/SkillActivated/TradeskillNodes/Bush_Firebloom.m2

die ersetzen wir mit einer truhe die is unter

World/SkillActivated/Containers/TreasureChest01.m2


rechtsklick auf die kiste und extrakt to anklicken und irgendwohin extracten.(z.B. desktop)
wow-direktory suchen und unter data neue ordner anlegen (wie vom feuerblumenmodel!)d.h. data/world/skillblabla.
im verzeichnis, wo ihr keinen ordner mehr habt(hier tradeskillnodes) kopiert ihr das kistenmodel rein.
jetzt benennt ihr die um in den namen(hier bush_firebloom.m2)
jetzt habt ihr feuerblumen die aussehen wie kisten.

its not a virus and its working! i changed the peacebloom with ragnaros and i saw every flower!(but had a strange lag -.-)

Just started doing my Son's of Hodir quests and came upon the quest "Forging a Head"... You get the quest item "Diamond Tipped Pick" to use on dead giant bodies to the east. The goal of this quest is to retrieve "Stormforged Eyes". Each time you mine one of the giants, he will either spawn 3 enemies with 5k health, or give you a quest item. Now here's the good part, even when you get the 8 Stormforged Eyes, you can still mine the giants and get the easy to kill guys with 5k health....

Hi therem Don't know if this would be considered a worthwhile exploit or not but if you do the quest series in Nagrand that takes you to the bar. The one where you have to collect the debt from 3 diffrent npcs - Well don't turn in the quest, just keep asking the ogre at the bar for the debt and he will continue to respawn within 5-10sec of death and drop about 50 silver each time. He's really easy to solo and you get rested xp while you do it. I eventually turned in the quest after...

Huhu liebe Community! Da ich hier nicht nur als Leecher gelten möchte, dachte ich mir, ich poste hier auch mal was nettes. Ist zwar nichts besonderes aber ich bin nunmal kein Coder oder ähnliches und möchte mich auf diese Weise nützlich machen :) Als ich gestern in Azshara am Mennarsee die blauen Drachen gefarmt habe, sind mit dort sehr viele Bots aufgefallen. Die Drachen, die sie getötet haben sind häutbar. Einige der Botuser sind jedoch keine Kürschner und man kann deren Mobs Kürschern....
