The language i currently know for server side scripting: PHP & SQL
I use following servers: Apache & IIS
Databases is: MySQL & MSSQL
They are running on Windows 2008 server + Linux debian.
The last projects i finished: (PHP, Ajax/Jquery, HTML, CSS, SQL) A internal management-system for tv2 denmark: (PHP, Ajax/Jquery, HTML, CSS, SQL, QR Codes)
Something for a a conference: (PHP, Ajax/Jquery, HTML, CSS, SQL) DarkOrbit calculator: (PHP, Ajax/Jquery, HTML, CSS, SQL)
A small one for a ticket system: (PHP, Ajax, SQL, QR Codes)

That error message you get when you type in special characters in your character name, is client sided. It does no server check. Im not a coder or anything, so I'm not sure how to fix that.
But since it is client sided, it would be a lot easier to repair this problem.
