After playing multiple hours with my team and testing a bunch of different things,
we have a pretty good understanding of what is currently causing cheaters to get banned.
I want to keep this thread updated as we learn more, because the system is obviously still changing and some of this could change overnight.
Reports / Server Bans
From what we have seen, reports are a huge factor right now.
If you receive more than roughly 5 reports on a server, you can be kicked / banned from that specific server.
This does not necessarily mean your entire account is instantly banned. However, getting multiple server bans appears to increase the chances of your account being flagged for further review.
Manual Reviews
After multiple server bans or suspicious activity, it looks like accounts can be flagged for manual review by the developers.
During these reviews, they appear to be looking at things like:
- How quickly you are earning cash
- How quickly you are gaining XP
- Number of kills
- Distance of kills / unusually long-range kills
- Economy progression
- General account statistics
- Anything else that looks statistically abnormal
Basically, even if nothing directly detects what you're doing, your account can still stand out because of the stats you're producing.
Rage Cheating
If you are blatantly rage cheating, do not expect the account to last very long.
From our testing, once reports start coming in, extremely obvious players can get removed pretty quickly. We have seen situations where someone doesn't make it much further than around 30 kills before action is taken.
The important distinction here is that this appears heavily connected to reports and subsequent review rather than us seeing evidence of an immediate technical detection.
Stream Sniping
Stream sniping is another easy way to get manually banned.
If you repeatedly target a streamer and they realize what is happening, they can contact the developers directly. At that point, your account can simply be manually investigated and banned.
Anti-Cheat / Data Collection
The anti-cheat appears to still be relatively early right now.
From what we can tell, they are collecting a lot of gameplay data and looking for patterns in player behavior and progression.
Things like earning an abnormal amount of money extremely quickly, unusual kill statistics, or other major statistical outliers could potentially be used to identify suspicious accounts.
Since the game is still new, they also don't have an enormous amount of historical player data to establish what "normal" looks like yet.
Because of that, a lot of the enforcement we're seeing right now appears to involve reports, statistical flags, and manual reviews.
That will probably change as they collect more data.
Important
None of this should be treated as a guaranteed explanation of how their anti-cheat works.
This is simply what we have observed through multiple hours of playing and testing with our team. There are almost certainly systems happening behind the scenes that we cannot see.
If you guys notice anything different, keep this thread updated with your findings.
The more information we collect, the better picture we'll have of how the system actually works.

Obviously its way too early to confirm, but seems like another dev has already figured out how to rage and not get flagged. Seen some text chats about it, I don't really want to dive too deep into it in case he's wrong and somehow just getting lucky but doesn't seem report based at all, once he figured out what was flagging him. He's dropping about 80-100 kills a match RN and no kick for hours.
Before he did something differently, he had the same experience as you. Kicked after like 50 kills every server.
They use AnyBrain though, so even if you figure out how to rage right now eventually their data bans are going to come in a few weeks.
