Age of empires 2 COLOR PROBLEM
Ok so i loved age of empires 2 that literally makes it UNPLAYABLE  . for some reason i have an unusual color problem. Its unlike ones my friends have had with just the red grass and purple water, Everything is messed up my unites and the tress and the ground and water and buldings are a mix of purple pink and blue. So its hard to tell where trees are because they just blend in with the ground. Ive tried closing explorer.exe but to no avail. Ive also tried to set my color scheam to windows classic but that didn't work either. my friend sent me his game here he was just getting the red grass and purple water but i still got my much worse issue. Ive also tried the base file solution (This one taskkill /F /IM Explorer.exe
empires2.exe
Start explorer.exe) but it still did not work. IF anybody knows anything on how to fix it that would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Reinstall the Game and update your drivers.

All my drivers are up to date. Ive also reinstalled :/

Did you search at google for help ? i think theres a patch for it, just google "color patch aoe2"
btw theres also a patch where you are able to play aoe2 in high resolution.

My monitor only goes up to 1025 x 720 :/

The thing is i dont want to buy aoe2 all over again. Also Bernd that colour issue they showed is the exactly same that I have. I tried the patcher though and it didnt work sadly. Im getting really fustrated now.

Hey Leute,habe folgendes Problem:Habe M.E geladen installiert und gepatcht ..soweit sogut allerdings kam dann folgende X Trap fehlermeldung noch bevor ich die chance hatte ich einzuloggen :Some functions of the operating system are not working properly due to external program .Please,close any program which is affecting game client.
Mehrfaches reinstallen half nicht,prozesse die stören könnten sind auch keine offen...
