1. The big part of game automation is related to hotkeys and AutoHotkey is most easy and fast in development solution for that.
2. AutoHotkey is also very good solution for other types of game automation (Pixels, Image matching, Mouse and keyboard simulation and etc.).
3. AutoHotkey is easier to learn than many other programming languages. Also in same time AutoHotkey is quite powerful(GUI, Mcode, Objects, COM, Regex, etc.).

Look at

section. It is quite popular. More popular then
C/C++ and
.NET Languages together. As

section shows there is demand more in that kind of languages than in others. Both AutoIt and AutoHotkey are languages of the same class.
Also:
I think that renaming AutoIt section is OK. But making separates sections for AutoIt and AutoHotkey is much better. AutoIt section is already quite big and have its own users. I don't think they will be glad to see another language in their section.
