As we all know (moderators, guardians and members) the Advertisement section of most games (Metin2 and SRO for example) are clustered with servers which are not worth two minutes of your time. So, me (and a few other members of the SRO community) have come up with the idea of Advertisement Subscription Cards.
These cards will function (basically like premium). They'll cost something around 80-160 e*G per month, and they give users the ability to CREATE a thread in ANY GAMES advertisement section.
What benefit will this give us?
- Well, for a start It'll stop the massive amount of servers which are being spammed in the advertisement sections, then being shut-down after 3 days due to inexperienced server-admins.
- It'll give the moderators much less work, having to moderate 1-2 threads which are being created per every five minutes or so.
- Only servers which are worth your time will be created, and the server owners will be more dedicated due to spending money, or e*G, in order to advertise their server.
What happens if this plan doesn't work?
- There isn't a way it cannot work, to be honest. You won't see as much activity in the usual p-server advertisement sections, but instead, you'll see a handful of GOOD servers, instead of the ones which are being spewed out daily.
- If all else fails, admins can change the price a little bit (I used the price above as a sole example.)
Examples of bad (and not very moderated) advertisement sections
The amount of required egold to start the subscription ticket is too low, It should be either included in the premium feature or with a new badge called (Game Owner) or something from that type, since no one will be able to create the thread except for the game owner (which does make sense).
Also a complete wipe for outdated threads including the 11/12's threads. (Except for the active one / with alive website)
I agree with this idea.
It will help players to choose a private server to play from much less list then before, there will be no 2 weeks private servers that players often donate to it and lose their money when private server get closed, advertising section will become less trashy which will make players\users be more satisfied from our forums.
I also think it's a great idea. We need to get rid of those dozens of new servers opening everyday that only last a week or so.
It's a good way to prevent waste of time for moderators, players, AND server owners.
I think the Advertisement Subscription Card should either be tied to Premium, or, users can be a Premium+ member, which grants them the right to advertise their server. Obviously Premium+ will cost 75-150e*g more, but they'll have the right to advertise instead
EDIT: Oh, and Premium+ members could have a darker blue name than the usual light premium color, and maybe access to more hidden things (downloads, leaks, and whatnot)
