EDIT: Oh, and Premium+ members could have a darker blue name than the usual light premium color, and maybe access to more hidden things (downloads, leaks, and whatnot)
No, this would be definitely too much. The point was to make advertisement something "special", but you're currently pointing out a system which is equal to a "Bronze, Silver, Gold"-Subscription and I'm pretty sure that this wouldn't be accepted by the community. Mainly would it seperate the Non-Premiums and the Premium-Users even more than it already does. More varieties of the premium-model would bring more problems than benefits.

Yeah, I agree. If they were to be introduced, how would you introduce them without making it come included with premium?

Plain simple by introducing a privileg which is purchasable with e*gold. There is no necessity to show that you're allowed to post in an advertisement-section.
On the other hand shouldn't you forget about startups who would be disadvantaged due to their low budgets. They may have great ideas, but would lack of money to advertise their servers at our forums.

If you're starting a server, you should have your own budget. Not open something on a €50 root and hope for donations just so you can get something better, this was just a example anyway. The subscription card thing is probably the best adjustment that can be done for the pservers from all kind of games.

I've heard that the staff have decided that the "approval of advertisement threads" might be good to use, but the Advertisement Cards are out of the question, or in other words something which can't really be seen being added in the future
EDIT: If approval is added, hopefully it's added to each advertisement section of the forum. But, the problem with this, is that it causes moderators to have a substantial amount more of work to do
Just recruit more mods in those affected sections and this "approval only"-idea could work.
Preferably from different timezones.
About this thread creation subscription, generally not a bad idea.
But how do you want to distinguish between creating a thread and writing in a thread in this affected section?
I don't think you could seperate this, reminds me on the complaint area

There are some private servers in World of Warcraft which have a low budget but some quite nice content. Quite a lot of those servers don't even like to rely on donations and try to do the best with their limited ressources by offering better support or other user-friendly features - even if this results in that they have to use a cheap root.
I like this idea. Keeps Server advertisment sections clean and it would also get some egold out of the egold system. This could have a deflationary trend onto the e*Gold course, which would be quite good :S
I'm sure this idea can't be implemented but the admins want to look like no money-hungry people, which I understand, but if they were players themselves to see the mess in these sections they'd probably review this suggestion.

I guess we can scrap the Advert Cards idea, but, what about approval-only threads instead? That's a topic which could be discussed

What would be the criterias? How should a mod distinguish between a high quality server and one which will be closed within the next week? How can we make sure nobody, who could lead a great server, gets denied his chance to do so?
Besides all those things shouldn't you keep the work, which an approve requires, out of mind. It would be quite more work than just pressing a button and that's not something we are having capacaties for, nor do I think will the administration make them free for this kind of stuff.
