Seems like you've gotten used to this 10x-30x rates these people have been passing around and 100x is just a little more whipped cream on stale cake. I don't know if you've played any other private server for any other game, but a lot of PServers flourish with several hundred times rates. Even for games that aren't as popular as SRO.
Example: I doubt 2Moons was/is as popular as SRO, I may be horribly mistaken, but that game sucked ***. The animations were clunky, combat was pretty gay and messy, the classes were gender-locked, and the game overall looked like a piece of PS1 garbage. But the PServer I played of it on was extremely popular, extremely high rate, and paid for their servers by micromanagement cash shop items. Some private servers like that particular 2Moons server even created items that are donation-only but add a huge boost to whoever buys it. I'm indifferent to this, because: yes it imbalances the core game mechanics, but it funds the server and they sold like hot cakes and probably funded the owners through college.

And this was totally besides the point, but my original topic has been answered mostly. But in reference to rates:
Aion servers are popping up everywhere now, 200x rates (That works perfectly for that game because cap is 50-55 and still doesn't require as much XP as SRO, because it's westernized.) and making bank off of it. SRO's XP curve is a lot, a WHOLE LOT steeper than Aion. So to even make an SRO PServer comparable to that Aion private server as an example, you'd need to make the rates to where you could go from 1-cap in 4-5 hours tops. Imagine what rates they would need to be.
"BUT AION IS MORE POPULAR."
-If you did the math, iSRO servers contained more concurrent players than NA Aion live servers did.
"BUT SRO HAS MULTICLIENTING BOTTERS."
-Aion does too. Except it's called "dual-boxing."
"BUT AION'S KOREAN USER BASE IS SO HIGH."
-What about SRO's korean support?
And for those who argue "Well if you can cap out fast there's no use in continuous play."
1. If you enjoy PvP fellow "ELITE PVPERS" that's your whole purpose for leveling in the first place. Therefor you should spend more time PvPing than you do grinding.
2. PLAY OTHER PSERVERS FOR OTHER GAMES. Using that Aion PServer again as an example: I've played it for over 2 weeks approaching 3 weeks, it took me 1 day to cap my character out.
3. A cap level character isn't shit without gear, every SRO player worth their shit knows this.
4. You'd have a much more active player base than the typical majority of people out grinding and 20% actually at their PC's playing. I'd trade 90-100% active players who are participating and playing and have a possibility of buying donation gear to PvP better and shit than an 80% inactive player base, that may just be free-botting and may never donate to your server AND they're taking up space in your server. YES THIS HAPPENS. I DID IT. I spent like 3 weeks on SJSRO occupying a server slot almost 24/7, when the cap was 90. Capped out, fully farmed, farmed for my gear, PvP'ed, never donated, quit playing. GG.
5. I don't recall meeting guild mates and making friends on SRO while grinding. That's the most absurd insinuation I ever heard to justify lower rates. Every guild I ever joined, every friend I ever made on SRO, were made in-town or in PvP zones. Not grinding. If I saw someone out next to me grinding I either wanted to avoid them so there's more mobs to me, or out-KS them so they would get the fuck away from me. With already-capped characters, all that's left is farming for gear, pvping, socializing, building your gear, and jobbing. ALL OF THOSE build the community. Not "Ello mate you seem to be killin' the same mob I am. Lets be friends aye?" More like "Your guild is ripping everyone up, can I join?" "You 3-shotted me, wanna party up and gank some people?"
Use your heads. Quit making excuses.
a) If you add enough features, such as voting rewards that would give your server free advertisement, cash shop items, they player base will come.
b) Make the 90-120 mobs drop rates to where they drop Sun every 30-50 mobs or so. It would still require a lot of time to gather all the specific gear for your character, and even then there's alchemy risk/reward system.
c) Add in cash shop items for fully-blued/percentaged/plussed/glowy gear, you guys already have SRO PServers doing that.
d) There's a lot of douchebags drooling at the mouth to be SRO GM's. Give a few trustworthy ones GM's and have them host events.

-These sound like such easy additions to PServers already running. I've seen glimpses of shit like this in current SRO PServers but they never bother going completely through with it. With the complex shit that coders are ALREADY DOING this shit sounds like child's play.

Hello everyone...
A friend and I are gathering money ourselves to hire a programmers company. We have started looking arround for some and the average price is 1000$ USD (without future client updates, which cost +).
I highly doubt anyone will agree with this but, donating few ammounts of money to us would make this process a whole lot faster... 1$ each person, 1000 persons = easy.
So, for those of you who are going to say stuff like "bah... just a random guy stealing money" or "omg really? another dumbass with that crazy idea?" or anything like that, you can stop already. I won't argue with you, help us if you want... If you don't want just ignore this reply

Its because they keep on releasing the SAME server files, all of these servers are run by ocean. If i were to play one id play Mysro.. If you really want to play REAL sro, play a foreign sro, u still will have a lot of bots and stuff but atleast ure getting the real deal (bots in all). They should make the level cap 70 and keep the skills 70, that is the most balanced for of silkroad ever released.

a) Why would they do that? There are only 4 pservers. If someone wants to play, I'm sure they'll find it.
b) But then they won't make money by selling sun items.
c) Again there's no point for the server owners. Less people will buy items from them.
d) As I read there are alot of events in zszc. Oops too bad there are alot of crashes during them.

These were off the top of my head suggestions, but here you go:
a) More incentive to chose one server over the other 4.
b) Totally different story between a regular sun item drop than a fully blued/plussed/percentaged item. If you really want to be a bitch, just eliminate sun drops entirely from the server or make them retail-drop, and have them drop regular, top-tiered gear. Then sell the sun items in the cash shop. Either way, if you make it to where you can buy a Sun item that's like +10-+15, full blues, 100%'s, you won't see many people crafting those, if any.
c) You still have to argue if some people aren't buying cash shop items currently either because they're dissatisfied with the server, and how the cap-level PvP is broken, or maybe because they're not high enough level and therefor don't PvP enough to care about donating. There's several variables when it comes to the sale of top-tier cash shop items. When there's nothing to do BUT to PvP, the sale of items that would tip the balance in the favor of the person donating would skyrocket. You'd be sacrificing the sale of SP and selling cap level characters, in exchange for more sales of top-tier PvP items. PvP guilds would form more frequently, there would be some dominant guilds that would peer pressure their members into buying donation items.
d) I saw some great events back when I played ECSRO that didn't crash the servers. Uniques spawning at random places throughout SRO was pretty cool, I can't remember if that was a GM or some faggot messing with the server, but either way, it was cool. But again, taking notes from other PServers for other games, events don't necessarily have to do with massive Unique spawns that lag the server, it could be a community event, an arranged Team PvP, anything.

Sorry but its so annoying , on Swsro 2 they are adding mob lvl 92 + and one day latter , they remove it ? and last update was : WI WILL ADD MOB AGAIN , AND FOTRESS WAR. they closed the server for more than 10 hours and NOTHING !! no more high level mob no frotress war WTF IS THIS
