Why does almost every private server ask to stop anti virus programm? I dont like it. I know its not 100% necessary, because there were servers who didnt need it. Does anyone know a private server which doesnt ask me to stop anti virus where I can play EU char?
Because everyone got they own top secret high value modified client and dll that has to be protected with some kind for software. The majority doesn't pay of that software and uses a cracked one instead.
Protection software like this is also commonly used for hiding and protecting malware and cracked projection software is usually used on thousands of different crappy malware samples since malware kiddos are tightwads aswell.
This leads to anything protected with this software version being detected as malware, no matter if it is actual malware or not. The Anti Virus would constantly delete necessary client files.
There is also a misbelief that anti virus would be responsible for client crashes or start issues.
That's why many servers require you to turn of your anti virus. They are too cheap to pay for the services they use and don't want to deal with the results of their actions.
besides what florian has said, i recommend you NEVER disable your AV
There are TONS of servers that are SUPER infected and the owner is either ignorant toward that or is thje one spreading the virus
if that's the case, NO filter that I know will ask you to disable your AV entirely and this can be a sign of a very suspicious server. Report it immediately

The loggin bar for many people stops at about 1/3 to 1/4 the way after you type in password and choose to connect to server. Its working fine for me but for someone I know it is not. Personally for them it worked fine after they installed DirectX and Adobe Flash latest versions. Then when they chose to make it full screen it resumed this issue. Could someone explain why this issue is happening and possibly how to fix it? Thanks.
