[LOL] Mob Spawn bugs in jangan cave

Ummmm....




Anyone know how to fix this one by chance? hahaha

E: A bit more info

I have increased the spawn rate by lowering the spawn time (Not by increasing max children) and this seems to happen in most of the rooms of the cave if there is someone actively killing things. It doesn't seem to happen outside of the Jangan Tomb though.

It seems like a pathing bug from what I've seen of it. A mob will spawn and in its normal wondering behavior will eventually bug out and run to this corner. If there's no player actually in that corner the monster will go to sleep and just stand there. As a result hundreds of monsters will accumulate there until someone gets near. At that time they all scatter again heading back toward their normal areas.


E2: So I stood in the same spot I was in in that screenshot until all the mobs scattered. I then walked up a bit and saw this



It looks like as soon as they leave vision range of a player they go to sleep. Which makes sense, but hahaha this is hilarious. Methinks it's because I'm only using one gameserver.

Get the mob ID, find the nest, reduce the amount spawned in single and max amount.
Or consider removing those misplaced uniques...

The uniques actually aren't misplaced they are Tomb General Jin who spawns in that room but he also is subject to the pathing issue that makes him run to the corner. Part of this bug seems to be that mobs in the jangan tomb ignore the max children limit when they are in the corner.

That might be correct, since "MOB_TQ_TOMBGENERAL_CLON3 (Jin)" is roaming there, but only once. I've noticed 2 unique-dots on your map. So either way, your spawn table is messed up.

There have to be something wrong at your nest table. Check the lines connecting to the region ID "-32762".

The issue only happens after there have been players killing in an area for a long period of time. It seems to happen in all levels of the tomb except b1. On a fresh server restart the tomb looks fine like your screen shots, and even after it's been up for a day or two it still looks fine as long as no one has been killing in that area. After that this bug shows up.

Okay. Need to give it a shot with my group. If you say that the area is bugging due to player appearance inside a specific grid and glitching to a more than proportional spawnrate, this might be more an issue inside the gameserver module.

Yeah there's something fucky going on for sure. I did not modify the spawn tables beyond decreasing the spawn time (I did not touch the max children) so the fact that there were literally probably 300 monsters all in one spot should not be possible.

I'm going to try completely restoring the spawn tables from a clean database and see if the issue persists. I think it probably will. Something I also need to try is disabling some areas and only leaving the cave open and see if it's an entity limit problem causing issues. (Less likely)

Incase if you were working on a fresh server and it's not released for public then you can copy refnest table from it's original db .
and if this not helps try to change your server files specially your gameserver .
